Duke's wings are pretty ridiculous.
Jump Wings/Airborne Wings - in ANY branch of service - are worn on the LEFT side. And Loose is righ, they look a little more like Marine Jump Wings... which are not worn in the Army, unless the soldier in question is a prior service Marine or Sailor who earned USMC/Navy jump wings and later enlisted in the Army. I've seen that one time. Right side Jump Wings are only to be worn on a soldier's dress uniform and they are for foreign service jump wings. So if a Green Beret did an exchange with the SAS and went through their airborne school, those wings could be worn on the U.S. Soldier's dress uniform jacket. This is fairly common in Special Operations. There are all kinds of foreign service awards that you see when the dress uniforms come out. The official limit is one foreign service award may be displayed at a time... lots of guys have several that they rotate. I can only think that Hasbro originally did this because Duke bandoleir covers his other pocket, and they wanted jump wings to be visible. It's always bothered me, and it's become sort of an inside joke with my brother and me. Here's a picture of me from last Halloween in my custom G.I. Joe costume. You'll notice that I have about 4 foreign service "jump wings" on my right pocket... that's in honor of Duke's misplaced Jump wings. There are a lot of little details on this costume that are sort of an inside joke for Joe fans. This was the first time I'd been in BDU's in a long time... and it was a scary reminder that I've got to get back in shape... so please pardon the fat guy in uniform. My dog "Elvis" is filling in for Junkyard in the last picture. |

For a profiler, might use Seer or Mindreader, although the latter is a bit close to Mindbender. I've used Scoop as my Ops Center guy, sort of a modern day Radar o'Reilly if you will. He's the one who knows what's going on at any given time and Hawk uses him to assign Joes to missions.

That's how I play Sparks. But if I had a ME Scoop he'd be in there too as my ARAH scoop was always the Comm guy for the "Yellow Neon" team.

That's perfect. I was looking at Sage but wanted to use that for my IDW-Firewall character. I was using Scoop as my ops center guy. I had no use for a journalist and Scoop seemed a good name for the guy that ran the ops center. He always knew what the "scoop" was on the missions. Seer works for the profiler, but still need the ops center guy. Using Watchman right now.
