In G.I. Joe: Declassified, it's revealed that he started off in the Army... it seems he began as an M.P. and probably worked his way into Army Intel or C.I.D. From there, he may have been recruited by another agency and continues to work with G.I. Joe as some sort of case officer/intel operative
What do you guys think? I think he is an intel operative. He works for some other agency, stationed with the Joe team to work as their intelligence agent. I think most of his card is 1/2 cover story and 1/2 real story. His military paygrade and that, cover story. The new Joe series from IDW seems like it will really define Chuckles role more then previous series.

Hasbro needs to release more Resolute stuff so we can go into those filecards, of course if they're anything like the new Duke, they'll be total crap. Anyone seen the Shockblast and Tunnel Rat filecards yet? Any major differences?

Flint, Skyduster, Duke and Mutt all have the same insignia on their shirts (or vest in Mutts case). It's the wings with the parachute above it. Which tab is that? Rangers right?

Flint's rank is E-6 on some cards. That might have been his last enlisted rank before he went warrant.

You are certainly entitled to your own opinon Oliver and as I have talked with several Texas Rangers they did not care for his protrayal of them and what they stood for. I am no fan of the show and never will be, thanks to one of my neighbors who despised the show. He was a Texas Ranger for 30 years or more and I am listening to his word over some guy trying to play his part. I have read into the real story of the character that Van Dame played in the movie Bloodsport and he is one bad ass!! He was by the way in the Air Force and brought his teachings to the U.S. after winning and setting several records for his accomplishments in the ring. I think that Frank would make a much better Joe then Norris any day and have a bigger role with the unit.

Tall Creeper, how much of Frank Dux's stories do you think are really true? I never read any of his books but I was a big fan of Blood Sport. However, many people who have investigated his alleged feats have claimed he never did half the things he wrote about. Apparently, no one has ever been able to uncover a real kumite or any of the people that were involved. Just wondering what you thought. Wikipedia talks about some of the controversy surrounding him. And I have to admit, some his feats seem implausible if not impossible.

You are more then likely right on him expanding the truth, but I think he might have accomplished some of those wins. I know it is hard to say what is true and what is certainly pure legend. Just like you said no one is willing to step forward and talk about the kumite, doesn't mean that it didn't happen. Frank Dux is a hard guy to figure out and has a cloud of smoke around him to really get through. I do enjoy watching the Ultimate fighting championship and they have had some quick knock outs. As far as being undefeated it is hard to believe, and is more then likely hollywood making a huger then life guy. Next thing you know he is on the scale of Paul Bunyon!!
