Is it just me or is Renegades Tunnelrat starting to have an Indian (Native American) descent look than oriental descent? I have decided to use him as Sky Patrol Altitude.
What name did we come up with for the cargo handler - Space Shot? Was it Spacecase? Well, I guess thats the name I will be using for him. Find space to stack cases on a cargo plane. I've moved around my troops, again! To make 1st Platoon, I put all my SEALS, Marines, Mega-Marines, Marauders and Renegades together. I'm attempting to make it an Amphibious Platoon, with 3 AWE Strikers, 2 Armadillos, a Snowcat, the WalMart generic VAMP, tho, Im still looking for good LAV or tank for the final vehicle. Platoon Leader Torpedo, Platoon Sergeant Slaughter and Guidon Bearer Mutt. 1st Squad "Mega-Marines": Gung-Ho, Mirage, Leatherneck, Wetsuit, Snake Doc. 2nd Squad "Marauders": Lowlight, Spirit, Footloose, Barbecue, Blast-off. 3rd Squad "Renegades": Mercer, Red Dog, Taurus, Clutch, Bullhorn. 2nd Platoon, is now my Night Force, my Ranger qualified Platoon. Led by Rapid Fire and Stalker as the Platoon Sergeant with Spearhead as Guidon Bearer. I wished we had a 25th or 30th Joe APC. That way 28 joes could be in the APC with Stalker and in the Humvee could be the "Platoon Staff". How does the 80's Joe APC work with Modern Era Joes? Here's a quick overview of my SPECMIFOR now: Chain of Command= Hawk, Duke, Flint, Beachhead. CoC Driver & RTO= Crankcase and Sparks Staff= Courage, Psyche-out, Airtight and Doc. 1st Platoon, (No overall title yet) : 18 joes. 2nd Platoon, "Night Force": 33 joes. 3 OD-A Style Teams: Tiger Force, Sky Patrol and Steel Brigade. MAS-X, Naval Patrol boat "The Ensign Cutter", Helo and Cargo Pilots. Color Guard.

Anyone else play that game as a kid, and how do you think it could translate to Joe.

I never played any tabletop games. Always wanted to do D&D but just didn't know anyone else doing it.
Magic is still big at my local comic shop, but the card game has never really interested me. I'm a roleplayer all the way.

A HeroQuest style game for Joe's would be awesome. It could come with a number of Joe's to choose from, and cobra badguys. Expansion packs could be purchased with different characters and different missions. You could also plan your own missions.
Anyone else play that game as a kid, and how do you think it could translate to Joe. |

Thanks. Shock was a wheeled tank thing that I found at a garage sale; I removed the wheels and added treads from a Snow Cat, and added Heavy Duty's gun sans missile launchers.
Awe is a repainted McDonalds Star Wars toy with Mace's missile launcher added to it.

I never really got to play D&D, but loved creating scenarios/characters/etc.. I'd love to do some D&D campaigns. I've found some things online that let you run a game, just finding people to play is issue, lol.

Yeah, there are a lot of great resources online now. It would be cool to incorporates Joes into an RPG. I've looked at some of the military RPGs to use as models but some are full of extraneous stuff that I think might bog the game down. The trick is finding the right balance between realistic details and a smooth game play.
