Yeah those would be nice. Those are all ones who a straight remake would be nice. I'd love to see a Recoil as well but fix the Head sculpt. Muskrat is WAY WAY overdue.

hey guys, i really hope I don't derail this thread (no offense I read 40 pages of this thread and skipped to the end) by posting something a little off the current topic but...
anybody every notice that Footloose is the team's reformed stoner? Sci-Fi loves to read SCI-FI novels. and I forget his name but there's a Joe whose Secondary MS is band (drums) I also always liked Tripwire because even though he usually has the lamest looking character, his filecard said that he was a complete clutz and disaster-prone--EXCEPT for when working on explosives. Explosives calm his uptight ass down. Ace got his name for being a gamble, not a pilot. Normally a penchant for gambling will mean a soldier can't be a Joe, but Ace NEVER loses. Cutter's secondary MS is Basketball coach. (i think it's cutter) i'm sure somebody said all that already, but i didn't see it in the first 40 or last 5 pages so... now I said it lol |

Reformed? The way he talks in the cartoon, I think the leaves on his helmet are more than just for camouflage
I also have the advantage of never having seen the cartoon |

I always felt that Footloose was the true grunt of the Joes, no disrespect to Grunt.

I paid no attention to his Cartoon Persona. Why he would go and join the Army for some esoterically drug induced inclination, could be understood. Like court ordered. But I just take him as a Midwestern boy who felt obligated to join.
Footloose still in one of the best figures ever made in the ARAH line. Like top ten, and he gets very little props.

Definitely, good old-school temperate camo, I hope they remake him eventually and do him justice (unlike Falcon, who was the quintessential jungle camo figure imo)

Agree that Footloose seemed like the quintissential infantry grunt. I never got a sense of his personality, but would have been cool to see more of him in the comic.

I agree 100%. Dude looked every bit like a 1980s-era soldier (although I suppose his BDUs were a bit too brown) and loved that he came with an M72 LAW to complement his assault rifle. Why we never got a 25th/ME style Footloose, I don't know... although if that meant getting a franken-joe figure with the dreaded "Duke arms" like what we got with Leatherneck -- another mid-1980s classic design borked in the 25th/ME/RoC era -- I would have passed on it.
