Great question though.

Hey, speaking of Super trooper I had a file card related thought. There are a few Joes who, according to their file cards, have won the Congressional Medal of Honor. (Duke, Rapid Fire, and Super Trooper? etc.) I was wondering if the Joes became ineligible for winning the CMH after joining the Joes because if fell under black ops. I don't know the ruling on that. Anyways, here is my question: In your opinion what action taken by any Joe over the years is worthy of a CMH. Please list the Joe and a specific action.
Super Trooper has not won the CMH. Early in the comic it was stated that if any Joe was awarded a citation or medal, that award would be held at in a safe at the Pentagon where they could go and look at it. The record of them receiving the award would be classified with the rest of their personnel records. So, I think they were eligible for the CMH, but they just could not publicly talk about it.

As for actions that may merit a CMH, I'm going to have to go with Roadblock for is actions in Sierra Gordo with Flint, Lady Jaye and the October Guard. Roadblock intentionally left himself behind with another member of the October Guard to cover the rest of the team's retreat. He then carried the wounded October Guardsmen, Misha, out on his shoulders through the jungle, while he was temporarily blinded and while under fire.
I would recommend Roadblock for the CMH for his actions in Sierra Gordo that take place in the storyline of Issues #101 - #105 Snake-Eyes should have probably won it a couple of times, but the comic was a little nuts about Snake-Eyes.

I watched a really good show about the history of the CMH and how it was won. They handed out a bunch during the civil war for little to nothing and changed the standards over the years. You basically have to die now and have shown some extreme valor in the face of battle. They really don't award to many of them now a days

It was about the history of the corps. Short stories from all eras. I don't know about the family connection, don't really remember. If I had easy access to my comic collection I could look it up, but it's scattered at my house, my dad's and at my mom's. 45 long boxes takes up alot of space.
45 Long Boxes!!! Troynos, seriously man. Wow. You could open your own store with that kind of stock. That's an idea, let's get all our friends from this thread and start a comic and G.I. Joe store. We probably won't make any money, but we'd have a ball and there's something to be said for that.

So did you guys come up with some CMH winners. I can't believe that Duke won it, what a joke.

I don't think it mentions what Duke won the CMH for.
It certainly doesn't say for Rapid Fire - who is a good character with solid qualifications, but is such a rip off of Super Trooper.
