So speaking of PJs... How would you guys outfit an all-around multi-utility Special Tactics Team (STT) for a Joe mission? I'm thinking two Combat Controllers, two Special Ops Weathermen and at least two PJs for a six-man unit. I use laser troopers as CCs since the role requires laser targeting, but couldn't think of who to spare for SOW so I created two Joes.

PJ - Lifeline PJ - Sideswipe CC - Sci-Fi CC - Red Spot SOW - Twister SOW - Windshear I don't know enough about USAF Special Ops, but I did spend some time last night reading through the filecards of the Joe Medics - mainly I was interested to see if Lifeline had ever been identified as being in one specific branch of the service? Answer: Yes and No. One filecard from around 94 says, "He enlisted in the Army to become a Corpsman." Again, Hasbro filecard logic strikes again. However, it did get me thinking.. Let's list all the Medics on the Joe Team. 1. Doc (male) 2. Lifeline (Steen) 3. Stretcher 4. Lifeline (Scott) 5. Sideswipe 6. Med-Alert 7. Doc (female) Did I miss anyone? It's weird that there are 2 code names that get reused within this group of medical specialists. Anyway. Let's take it for granted that all of these Joes have some measure of Special Operations training (they are all Airborne qualified at the very least). Doc v.1 has a medical degree from some Ivy League school, and Doc v.2 also has a medical degree. They probably don't need the PJ or 18D qualifications. However, if we just took these Joes and turned them into a Special Ops Rescue/Medic Squad, it might actually be a cool unit. It could basically function like a PJ unit. Now both Docs are officers, so even if we wanted to keep it all enlisted, leave the Docs back at the base, and let Stalker lead the team tactically... he's crosstrained as a medic, so he would be great to lead this unit. You could also add Barrel Roll as a sniper for this team - he's USAF Special Operations, so he's bound to have worked with PJ's before.

Making these guys more than just combat medics would be ideal, whether PJs or SEAL medics or 18Ds. But I think at least two from the above list should specialize in each type of insertion: helicopter assault (this could apply to all), HALO/HAHO, SCUBA/Combat Diver.

I think I'm going to use Renegades Tunnel Rat as some kind of support role. His outfit just doesn't say "military unit" to me so he looks out of place next to the rest of the Joes.
Mechanic?
