I love the way that now POC is here, people are bitching on different threads about weak file cards. Yet, when we ran our comp not many people seemed to care. Weird.

Yeah, I've seen people complaining on several threads about the poorly written file cards. Ironic to say the least.

I need to jump in on those threads. I try to throw a filecard gripe into every Q&A I find, but it never gets asked. Time to redouble my efforts. I want to see at least birthplace added back by the end of next year.
Anyone else worried that the Renegade line will be sort of like the clone wars. cartoony goofy looking figures? I have plenty of Star Wars figures, but I can't buy a single Clone Wars figure because they're just too unrealistic. I'm afraid the Renegades stuff will be no better than Action Battlers.

Didn't they say at the convention that the figures wouldn't look cartoonish like CW? I can't remember. But yeah, that would be horrible. But wouldn't that also mean they can't reuse parts as much if they use oddly shaped cartoonish torsos and limbs? And we know how much they'd hate that.

I really hope they don't go down this path and that Tanksmasher is right and the retooling costs for new molds will deter them. |

Maybe they'll just reuse the Clone Wars molds.
I would love some sort of Guarantee. But Clone Wars figures are hugely successful. I'm sure the cartoons don't hurt, and I'm sure there are more Star Wars Whores(For lack of a better term) who buy anything. My brother loves that stuff and he says for the articulation. I've been buying since the straight arm days, so it's not the articulation that draws me. It's the characters. (Hugely based on their filecards) I'm not afraid of silly looking faces, but I most fear the figures being Waif thin. I hoping it will be somewhere between Marvel Universe and POC.

Stepping back a few months to my misunderstanding of the difference between Special Forces (Green Berets) and Special Operations Forces (the whole gamut), I just watched Green Zone and Matt Damon's character said on a number of occasions, that SF or Special Forces had come and stolen his prisoner.
Now as they didn't wear berets or have insignia afaicr, and the fact that they looked a lot like a bunch of Tier 1 operators, was this a script mistake? |
