... That said - y'all know me - I nearly peed my pants when I saw the pics of Low-Light. My wife was a little concerned. I squeeled like a little girl.

As soon as I saw the slide I thought to myself "Oliver is going to go nuts".

And then I saw him... Pure Awesome. Totally modern/practical. Great homage to the original. I'm still really looking forward to my custom figure - I need one for the ODA Team, and I like what I've come up with - but I can't tell you how excited I am about Hasbro's version. I almost want to write them a personal 'thank you' note. He was my very first Joe. He's always been one of my very favorites. It's like an important piece of my childhood is being given back to me.

I think the Spirit will make a good Dart.
I already have the iconic Spirit in the 25th, so PoC Spirit will become Dart. I just love that SE. It's a great mix of all. John Warden, the designer, when I was talking with him said that after the first all the SEs had strayed away from the commando aspect and he wanted to return to that. Warden definately had love for the figures and was very proud of Low-Light. He made the comment that with the level of detailing/accessories that PoC has, it makes the 25th/ME lacking, which I agree with.

Yeah, that Snake-Eyes is EVERYTHING I love about that character. I will probably have to redo my ODA Team custom Snake-Eyes, but it will totally be worth it.
I'm really glad to hear that the designer has such a love of these characters. You're absolutely right about PoC Spirit - he will make a great Dart, and he'll look awesome with Jungle Duke. I agree with you the 25th version is more iconic. I'm using a custom Tri-Gate Spirit Head for the ODA Team, and that will work for me. Braids may not be practical, but that's just Spirit, in my opinion. I mean, it wouldn't be Willie Nelson without the braids either.

The PoC Spirit almost looks like Dart more then Spirit anyways.

You're right. He's good for a TRU figure - just a repainted kitbash, but the new head is awesome. I'm really glad, though, because I always thought Dart was a really cool character.

I'm actually more excited that the man found a shirt to wear... seriously.

Remove the shirt and his chest is covered in scars.
They wanted to do a homage to Bruce Lee.
