The other thing I thought about is this:
Marine Corps Special Ops is doing a lot more stuff like Army Special Forces: mainly, training indigenous forces in foreign countries. Wouldn't it make sense, then, for a Marine Special Ops unit to have qualified Drill Instructors as a part of their team to help train these indigenous people? Leatherneck is a qualified DI, but wouldn't it make a lot of sense to have Slaughter with the team to work with the tribesmen and whip them into shape? Hearts, Minds & Butts!

I've always loved the Sarge. I think he is vastly underated. To me he is more the Cartoon Character than the Wrestler. He's big, and Strong. Probably bigger and Stronger than Roadblock. He knocked Gung-Ho out with one punch!?
Not sure who you can use for a head sculpt Oliver. But what difference does it make? Use the Build and Brawl one. I'm not sure how much Direct Action the MARSOC teams do as opposed to training. Still, a guy like the Sarge can wear whatever he likes. As huge as he supposedly is commands respect anyway. But you're going to need more guys. Those MARSOC teams are 14 members under a Captain. So Lt. Stone needs a promotion. Sgt Stone should be there. You will also have to add the questoin marks like Mirage, Bullhorn, and Blast-Off. Then you may have to convert 4 others. My picks: Spearhead, Hardball, Red Dog, ....one more.

I'd recommend assigning Stretcher as a Navy Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Independent Duty Corpsman.
Navy HM-8403 Fleet Marine Force Reconnaissance Independent Duty Corpsman I'll look into a custom version Talbot - a Corpsman is a good idea.

I think that works when you're rebuilding an army like in Iraq. The attention to detail is a plus. But when training non- government entitites like the Northern Alliance in Afghanistan, that DI mentality can causes problems. You need to be more flexible in your approach to teaching. Though I am interested in seeing how your recon team turns out.
Slaughter is supposed to be the best Drill Instructor in the Corps, but he trains Infantry Marines - Not Boot Camp. A good Instructor knows when to turn it on and when to turn it off. I figure Sarge would be able to adapt his teaching techniques to fit his circumstances. Like I said, this custom won't wear a campaign hat.

This version of Sarge is going to be as realistic as I know how to make him. Quote:

MARSOC can teach, but their main focus is Recon and Direct Action. In fact, they've officially changed each MARSOC Unit now to 3 Marine Special Operations Battalions, instead of 2 MSOBs and a Marine Advisor Unit. That's the focus of this team. If I need instructors, I'll have a whole ODA Team to do that mission. These Marines for specifically for Recon and amphibious Direct Action Missions. If I could figure out a way to do Mirage, I will. I think there are some good heads with flat tops, and Marine_Deadpool could add a bandana. I'll probably just leave the visor and microphone off. Sgt. Stone will probably be there... that Beret is just a little Stupid, but I'm thinking of a solution: What if he were sent by MARSOC on an exchange program with the Royal Marines? Maybe it's a Beret from the RM Commandos - then it would make a little more sense for him to have it as a U.S. Marine. Maybe Ice Storm is his buddy from the Royal Marines. I'm just trying to figure out a way for it to all fit together, but yeah, I'll use Sgt. Stone... And you're right, Lt. Stone probably needs a promotion to Captain. It's just going to be confusing haveing Sgt. Stone and Capt. Stone in the same unit. What if Capt. Stone is just his name? Maybe he'll get a good Marine Code name like "Ka-Bar" or something like that.

In that case Sgt Stone needs a Codename as well. But No Marine would be caught dead wearing a Beret, unless he is British. His First name in Geoffrey. The only Jeff I've met that spells his name that way in the US is a Giraffe that sometimes puts joes on sale 2 for $9.99.
I was thinking about Stretcher as a Corpsman as well Blackrazor. I just wasn't sure how the MARSOC teams work exactly. But they need a medic. As for Link you may want to keep him for a SEAL team medic, as that is a natural fit as well Oliver. SEALs/SBS guys?

Obviously, the cartoon version is a Joke and he didn't have much of a role in the comicbook.

Combine that with his size and athleticism... suddenly this character is not really that much of a joke anymore.
Regarding the filecards, over here they economise and print a short snippet in lots of different languages, so it's not worth their time to make up longer back stories (for use on us anyway). Shame though, knowing more about the characters was all part of the fun. Quote:

Just thinking that Sgt. Slaughter would then be a serious outlier on the curve (fair enough, I'm sure it happens). |

Yeah Samuel L Jackson is too old, but very few actors have the same presence as Jackson. He's one bad mofo no matter how you slice it. I think Stalker who is one of the most popular characters needs a make over big time. Ripcord is just a waste of a Character to me. Especially since they made him basically a Stalker character with no authority even though he outranks the rest of the Joe team in ROC.
