I would imagine that's right. Considering Leatherneck was in 1st Recon and was a DI, it wouldn't surprize me a bit if those two didn't already know each other pretty well. Gung-Ho comes out of the Recon community - they probably all knew each other because they ran in the same circles and were the best of the Marines... that's why they got recruited by the Joes.

I wonder who writes the file cards now. One of the artistic designers? Multiple writers? A couple of interns?

Monkeys with Macbooks. That's the only logical explanation.

Kind of like how Flint, Duke and Roadblock had all run into eachother.
The baddest of the Marines: Leatherneck, Gung-Ho and Slaughter, probably all did some Ops together. Hey Oliver, why not add Mainframe to your Marine group. Sure he ended up army at the end, but once a Marine always a Marine.

This could make a good multiple-choice question for Hasbro's next Q&A:
Who writes the file cards? A) Monkeys B) Janitors C) Interns D) Some guys on the HISSTANK |

D should write 'em
But I think it's none of the above. Monkeys, janitors and even interns are smarter then whoever is doing the cards.

So Marine_Deadpool and I are working on a custom USMC Recon unit. It's coming along really well. We're doing custom versions of most of the VERIFIED Marines on the Team.
1. Gung-Ho 2. Leatherneck 3. Mainframe 4. Hollow Point 5. Lt. Stone (Extreme) 6. Mace (I know some of you contest this, but frankly those arguments don't make any sense) ;) The one old Marine I'm missing (besides the 2 RoC Marines) is Sgt. Slaughter, and that got me thinking... Obviously, the cartoon version is a Joke and he didn't have much of a role in the comicbook. But let's just look at his file card. Although it makes mention of his time as a Drill Instructor for Basic Training, it lists his specialty as a Drill Instructor for Infantry Training. It also lists him as a Survival Instructor. Now if he's qualified to Train Infantry Marines, and to teach Survival skills - and I really don't think his hand-to-hand combat skills should be overlooked (that's the whole point of the character), the shouldn't that add up to a really tough Marine. If he's an Infantry Drill Instructor, wouldn't he have to be an expert marksman and knife fight, a black belt in Gung-Fu, and pretty much everything the Marine Infantry does? Those Marine DI's are legendary. And if he's a Survival expert, wouldn't he be pretty proficient at field craft? Combine that with his size and athleticism... suddenly this character is not really that much of a joke anymore. The point I'm making is that he's consistantly listed as an E-7 in every file card. And with those qualifications, I think I can make a pretty good custom figure of Sgt. Slaughter. Obviously he can't be out on patrol with a Campaign hat, but If I'm able to get a good moustached head and find a good helmet for him, I think this could work. Quote:

Ah yeah, I thought it was the other way around. Didn't think I had seen him in the list.
Going to use Icestorm?

IF he's a new head sculpt... IF I can get a hold of an extra to use for a custom so I don't have to open mine... But if I can use him, I'll probably figure out a way to use Sgt. Stone as well. Now if I can just figure out a head/helmet to use for Mirage and Bullhorn, I'll be all set ;) Troy, I know you haven't opened your Ice Storm either, but do you know if he's a new headsculpt?
