Here's my problem with the main series: Cobra should have been there from the begining. That's why we have a whole series called Origins. Any backstories, or development should be in Origins. The Main series should have started a lot faster.
However, I'm concerned that G.I. Joe may not be selling well. They're bringing back the original Marvel continuity which makes me wonder why. Hasbro has pushed RoC/PoC so hard that it mades me wonder why IDW would bring back the old continuity. Is the new stuff just not working/selling? |

I'm not sure, the issues are selling out fairly quickly at nearby comic shops around here. I assumed they were just trying to find reasons to capitalize on as many continuities as possible because it is selling. I mean look at all the other off shoots that IDW is creating with the Hearts & Mind series and Helix and now a return to the Marvel continuity.

I imagine the entire GI Joe roster has already been listed and split into their service branches and units somewhere in this thread (I was just idly wondering which members served in Delta), but as the thread is getting rather long now ;) I was wondering if there's a hisstank wiki or other place where static info like this is/might be placed so it doesn't get lost?

About Delta Force Joes...
Tanksmasher is absolutley right. It's very sketchy about whether or not any Joes ever served in Delta Force. To be fair, it's unclear whether or not Delta Force even exists in the Marvel Continuity. In the Action Force Battle files, it mentions that General Hawk served as a Commander with Delta Force. That's a possibility; he's not Special Forces, but he has served with the Ranger Regiment. It's possible that he got his experience with a Tier 1 Special Ops unit with Delta Force. Low-Light is a Delta Operator. Falcon was with Blue Light, which was an early CT Unit that competed with Delta Force - they never really got off the ground, so it's possible they meant Delta Force. Claymore - no one knows what he really did, but Delta seems pretty plausible. Either that or the ISA. I would say that Beach-Head and Stalker would both be likely candidates for Delta training. Duke and Flint would also be plausible candidates, but none of these guys have explicitly been listed as Delta Operators.

Do any forums have like a searchable database? If one could build a database what information would it need to include? Filecard info for sure, but would you add Comic info as well. For the most part they haven't contradicted themselves too much.
From Filecards you would need all the top info, and then maybe training such as "Airborne" or "Ranger" usually listed in the second part of the filecard. Others: AIT or Flight Warrant Officer School. College background would be good. Any Unit or Camp/Base affiliation would also be nice to cross-reference. Anything else? From Comics I don't know. Marvel and DDP seem to follow the same timeline. Until now. With Ripcord and Duke from ROC. and Heavy Duty. Plus IDW is adding further confusion. I guess they wanted to mesh the two or at least have them agree. (At least that was the crap they were feeding us when it started with Roadblock being Heavy Dookie) Cartoons would be out I think. On a sidenote, We haven't seen Storm Shadow yet in IDW have we? I might be behind. Blacklight seems like he could be a mixture of characters. I'm hoping he's actually a new character and we still get Firefly and Storm Shadow and Blackout. I hear Interrogator will be showing up in his own oneshot which I'm sort of excited for. .
