Dude, can you say NERD ALERT! Haha! I laughed when I saw this but thought "that's cool" at the same time. Its very similar to my childhood notebook that I kept for Joes. Except it wasn't geographical. In it, I kept track of every Joe's weapon and equipment. Based on the size of a Joe's backpack or the style of his webgear, I would keep detailed accounts of how many clips of ammo and frag grenades and smoke grenades and rations and other tools each figure had. Then after a firefight I would tally up what each figure had left and what extra stuff they scavenged from the wounded or KIA.

I can remember my brother and I putting all our figures and vehicles out and picking teams. One at a time to set up a massive battle on the front living room floor complete with dragons teeth or tank obstacles. We made bunkers out of lincoln logs and sand bags. One was on defense and the other was on offense it was huge to us. We took our time setting up our forces and then had the massive battle which seemed to take forever in our minds. Great fun!!

What about Updraft? He's a helicopter pilot but also an officer, so I'm thinking Air Force, not Army and probably not Navy.

Whoops I may have spoken too soon. His file card says he taught at Warrant Officer School at Fort Rucker, but he was a "special instructor" so maybe a visiting instructor from the USAF.

This brings up something which isn't on the file cards. Snake-Eyes birthplace? or name for that matter. I've seen it discussed on the comic book forums in detail. Vegas seemed like a good choice at the end. James Smith are the two most common names in America, but then why classify that? |

So here's something that hasn't been brought up. What rank equivalency would you assign to various Cobra profiles? Based on skill, specialities, education and persona I've come up with the following educated guesses:
Serpentor: Emperor (obvious) Cobra Commander: Commander-in-Chief (on file card) Destro: O8-O10 (definitely general status) Voltar: O7 (he's Destro's general) Baroness O5-O6? Dr Mindbender O5-O6? HISS Driver O5 (on file card) Tomax O5 (must be higher than Cobra Officer) Xamot O5 Major Bludd O4 (obviously) Cobra Officer O4 (on file card) Rip It O1 (on file card) Zartan E6-E8 Storm Shadow E5 (same as Snake-Eyes) Firefly E5 Scrap Iron E5 Cobra Trooper E4 (on file card)
