All my "drivers" are Calvary Scouts (Clutch, Crankcase, Backtrack, Skidmark and all the others not yet introduced).
I forgot all about Mace. I need to go thru and make a list of all the Joes I have yet to use, so I don't just go making up a new Joe for the heck of it if have an existing to use.

Me too. It makes sense, and well Zulu's designs are beyond awesome. I tried to update my ARAH figures to look less ridiculous, or I renamed an extra fig here or there to switch out.
I mean: Cross Country? I use a Dusty V2 head Hot Seat? Switched the pants Armadillo (The ugliest Joe of all!) Eco Warrior Flint's head Wild Card I'm still working on. Skidmark? VvValor Duke(With the Green camo) I needc pics |

So Recondo and Big Brawler. Hmmm
Let's see: Colton; Falcon; Flint; Duke; Drop-Zone; Beachhead; Kamakura good possiblity: Recondo, Big Brawler, Outback Based on Action Force: Spirit LRRP status: Recoil, Stalker, Snake-Eyes? Spirit, Wild-Bill Based off filecard association and due to language and training: Claymore and Breaker Under "Good Possibility" I also consider: Low-Light and Roadblock. Roadblock showed up with Duke and talks about Flint when he shows up like he has worked with him previously. Hama told us that Low-Light was intended to be a Delta Operator.

Breaker was part of Project Gamma. Although I don't imagine they intended for Breaker to be a Vietnam Vet, Project Gamma
Project GAMMA - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia is mentioned on the filecards. His Low rank, which is listed as E-3 in the back of Issue #1, and his portrayal in both Cartoons and comics doesn't reflect a Special Forces operator. The comics less so. I wonder with Breakers inclusion in IDW's Origins story, Hama may be trying to add more to his story. Although his lack of action in the main series has me concerned. So you didn't answer my earlier question Oliver about a Ranger team? |

I've always felt that the whole Sky Patrol team was SF qualified though it's not explicitly mentioned. I think they make the perfect ODA team.
Detachment Commander (O3) - Falcon Detachment Technician (W2) - Flint Operations Sgt (E8) - Big Brawler Ast Operations Sgt (E7) - Skydive Weapons Sgt (E7) - Dropzone Ast Weapons Sgt (E6) - Big Ben Engineer Sgt (E7) - Static Line Ast Engineer Sgt (E6) - Tunnel Rat Medical Sgt (E7) - Airborne II Ast Medical Sgt (E6) - Stretcher Communications Sgt (E7) - Airwave Ast Communications Sgt (E6) - Dial-Tone |

Altitude outranks Both Big Brawler and Skydive(Who should be an officer really) Crazylegs as your alternate Comm guy. He's cross trained as an Artillery coordinator so I assume some communications skill, but Sneak-Peek is also listed as an Airborne Ranger and his SMS is Radio. (I can't separate the two. Both versions of both figures match exactly color wise) Freefall and Starduster become redundant Weapons Sgts. I guess Big Ben in on loan? Where's Duke? Yeah How many guys do you leave as Rangers? I guess we all sort of assume that most of the Joes should be Ranger Qualified instead of just the 25-30 as listed. I guess those 20 start to look like good candidates for Special Forces. I mean how many Halo Jumper teams does the Army have? It seems sort of specialized. |

As a side note, lead Hasbro toy designer Ron Rudat actually intended for Low-Light to be a SEAL sniper(!). Conversely, Tracker wasn't actually supposed to be a SEAL (with his garish uniform/costume colours, I'm thinking he was intended to be an LA Lakers/Golden Gophers fanboy :P). It's pretty interesting to see where the two "fathers" of ARAH (Rudat and Hama) saw eye to eye and where their design decisions diverged from each other.

Yeah, that was a cool thing coming out of Bellomo's book, that Low-Light was supposed to be a Navy SEaL Sniper.
Remember recently that hostage situation with the pirates on the water? The three (think it was three) SEaL Snipers had to take out the 3 pirates at the same time. That's bad-ass. Rudat doesn't get enough credit for Joe, like Hama is considered the Godfather. But really, Joe has three. Hama Rudat Whoever was main force behind cartoon (not as cool as the comics and filecards, but it was influential and alot of people's entry into Joe, really should be given as much credit)

Hama Rudat Whoever was main force behind cartoon (not as cool as the comics and filecards, but it was influential and alot of people's entry into Joe, really should be given as much credit) And you could really tell when Rudat stepped down as the lead toy designer for ARAH. IMHO, after he stepped down in 1987, that's when the toy designs really started to go south, eventually culminating in plastic abominations like the Lunartix Empire figures. As for the cartoon, they had many writers, so I guess the closest thing to a singular creative voice in the Sunbow cartoons was story editor and writer Flint Dille (who worked on 55 of the 95 episodes). I don't know if he had as much creative impact on the GI Joe property as Hama and Rudat, though. Also, I think writers Buzz Dixon and Ron Friedman worked on some of the more memorable episodes.
