I still like his early comics work though (probably out of sentimentality and nostalgia more than anything else), even if it hasn't really aged all that well. |

What I wish had gotten explored more was the Huntsman character that he did that showed up in the first series of WildC.A.T.s (with Lee) and then in Cyberforce with Silvestri.
Was a great concept that didn't get explored after those appearances and I wish it had. BTW, is there any arctic or "snow" areas from the comics or cartoons associated with the Joes? Bases, countries (besides the one with the the appearance of BF2000).

In the cartoons, I'm sure they went to Antarctica and north of the Arctic Circle a few times. They also went to the Himalayas in GI Joe the Movie... although they didn't specify which part of the Himalayas it was in... could've been Nepal, China (in Tibet), India, Bhutan, Burma, Pakistan, or Afghanistan. |

Already planning on using the Tibet temple and himalayas soon.
Really was looking for a base or something that they had used. I thought it was antarctica that the Joes went to in #2 and met Kwinn?

Nah. It was in Alaska (looking at the issue summary from Yojoe.com right now). Makes sense that it would be there, since they were trying to beat the Russians to some dangerous psych warfare tech at the time.

True. I'll have to look it up.
Did you read Claremonts WildCATS and Cyberforce stuff?

I read the Huntsman appearances in WildCATs and Cyberforce, but I don't really remember much of it (it was a very "hazy" time in my youth, if you catch my drift ). All I remember are Zealot's boobs threatening to pour out of her red one-piece chrome bikini.

I really liked the Huntsman stuff. Had a great backstory and lots of potential. Oh well, what could have been...

The Coffin from DDP WWWIII is in Greenland. Gen Flagg III was in charge. He must have really screwed up to get that gig. I think Frontline #1 had Duke looking for the Wampa Snow Creature Then DDP Special Mission Antartica had the Twins drilling for oil in Antartica. |

Ha, that was Operation Coldfire, issues 5-7. I actually liked that story arc, but hated the illustration of the "Wampas". They just didn't measure up artistically to meet the story's level of suspense.
