Actually I need to modify the above organization because under the new Combat Aviation Brigade (CAB) struture, there are now 3 companies of 2 platoons (5 UH-60 each) in a Helicopter Assault Battalion instead of 2 companies of 3 platoons, but the total still comes to 30 UH-60s for the battalion.

I'm disappointed.
Got my three Indy Jones and was going to make Indy and my directorate staff. No dice. Stupid Hasbro, in their infinite wisdom, made all three Indy's have different neck bulb sizes. How dumb is that? I can still make it work, just need to get a dremel and fix the bulbs. /sigh

That's odd, you'd think the bulbs would be the same size. What heads are you using?

I was pleasantly surprised with the RoC Dragonhawk. Sure, it looks like a midget Apache, but design-wise, I think it's quite decent. I still plan on modding it, though. For one thing, the chin turret needs to be replaced with one that moves on two axes (it currently moves along the horizontal axis, but can't move on the vertical axis... it's in a fixed 45 degree angle).

Raiders, Last Crusade and another I believe. It was very weird. I put a Marion Blackwood head on a Lady Jaye body and it looks decent. A tad small, but looks good. The Indy bodies aren't very articulated, they kind of suck.

I made an error is my last post a few pages back. I said that a National Guard unit was being deployed on the 15th. It is actually the 282 Engineering Company of 21 soldiers, that will bge leaving town on the 15th.
The other day,I ran into the guy I saw wearing the U.S. Army coat with the patch on the shoulder that had five trees. I asked him about the patch and he wasn`t sure what it was for, since it was his brother`s coat. He said he thought the patch might have something to do with the Infantry. |

I see National Guardsmen all the time. I work about two minutes away from the main NG base in New Hampshire. I have to pass by it every day on the way to work. Run into 'em all the time at the local food places at lunch time.
They also have a building that's connected to the local airport, which if I go the other direction to work, I pass by.

It helps Tankssmasher though I was hoping to find out more about the pairings posted to the same helicopter, if they would have an Officer with a Warrant Officer, or if they would be both officers or both Warrant Officers? I know the Air Force would have two officers, because they 'decommissioned' the rank of warrant officers.
So this afternoon I was at Borders, spent about an hour with a book I cant recall the name of, but its like a essentials & price guide for GI JOES and had a few notes on each character. A couple of things that stuck out... Lowlight was originally a Navy Seal Sniper, maybe thats why the 2 different looking Lowlights. Doc originally was a medic with the rank of Specialist instead of a Doctor as a Captain. Hasbro wanted the DreadnOKS to be teddy bears... almost like EwOKS, Hama said good guys shooting teddy bears, that would upset the parents, lets make them a biker gang. But I guess the fatal fluffies made it to the cartoon. One of the choices for Roadblock's name was BUBBA, Hama advised against it on grounds of its a racist slur, but less than a decade later on Forrest Gump there was a BUBBA who had hopes of becoming a 'southern cook' just as soon as he did his tour. Mentioned here several times, but I love this concept, Duke originally a Major instead of First Sergeant. According to Hama, The Baroness didnt have an eastern european accent in the comics, she was an American that was fed up with Americans and moved away, married and became a Baroness and fought against democracy. This pissed off my two best friends who never read the comics and only watched the cartoon, and were blue in the face about the Baroness WAS and always is European, they compare the new movie to Street Fighter One, but worse. They cant stand that I was entertained by the new movie and I keep finding aspects which make it even better. Now if only I can find a way that the Baroness was originally Cobra Commander's sister. Dont get me wrong the new movie isnt perfect, but it is GI JOE.

That's the closes I can recall. |

Any background info on the Baroness's name being DeCobray?
Does it have anything to do with the naming of Cobra? |
