Tyroc, I do attach a 3-man mortar squad to my Joe platoon to complement assaults and some direct action missions. My Joes also have an artillery section. The section includes the Thunderclap, which I utilize the same way the Army utilizes a towed 155mm howitzer. It's organization consists of the following:
Section Chief (E6) Ammo Chief (E5) Gunner (E5) Assistant Gunner (E4) Canonneer (E4) Canonneer (E3) Prime Mover Driver (E4) I'm still making small adjustments to the Joe artillery roster, but Long Range is the Section Chief. Been trying to set up something but it makes the operation get too big, escpecially when each artillery battery needs a maintenance crew, ammunition, spare parts etc.. |

Using your set up are considering only named joes or is it Long Range and 6 green shirts? If you take out Downtown and Short-Fuse for a mortar team then really only Thunder and Grand Slam are the Artillery guys. Major Storm and Major Barrage I guess as well, but that seems pretty high ranking. Although I thought a few of the Joe drivers have Artillery listed on their specialites, I'm not seeing it. Let's see: Steeler, Zap, Duke, and Sub-Zero (another Officer), Mirage. I guess Heavy Duty might be more of a Mortar Crewman, but I guess it was just that thing he was wearing in Ver1. But I use him more as a Machine Gunner anyway. I wonder how many pieces of artillery the Joes need anyway? |

Anyone here have scans of the following 1997 Bronze Bombers' filecards: No Flak, Roughshot, Shortburst, 411.
Actually, I don't even need the scans, I just need their real names. Thanks in advance! |

Nope. They only have filecards for half of the team (Krunch, Hard Drive, Suppressor X, and Hard Drive). I managed to see some scans on eBay, but the image quality is so poor I can't make out the letters.

Post 'em up. I doubt the rest of us have anything that can help with the images that you don't, but we can at least try.

Are you making the Thunderclap the only piece of artillery? Normally an Artillery crew is like 9-11 guys. although I think the M777 has a crew of 5.

For a self-propelled howitzer like the Paladin and CATV ammo carrier, you'll need the following for one section (usually a battery has 6-8 sections: Section Chief (E6) Gunner (E5) Asst Gunner (E4) Cannoneer (E4) Howitzer Driver (E4) Ammo Team Chief (E5) Ammo Vehicle Driver (E4) Cannoneer (E3) Of course, you'll need an FDC section driving the M1068A3 command post tracked carrier: Fire Direction Officer (O2) Fire Control Sgt (E6) Fire Control Sgt (E5) FATDS Sp (E4) x 3 FATDS Sp (E3) x 2 An ammo section would include the following in three M1074/M1075 Cargo Trucks: Ammo Section Chief (E6) Ammo Sgt (E5) Ammo Sp (E4) x 2 Ammo Handler (E3) x 2 |

411's surname looks to be "Alexander," Shortburst's first name seems to be Henry and his nickname is "Hannibal," while Roughshot's name seems to be "Elijah Ruddock(?)." Can't make out any individual letters from No Flak's filecard at all. |

Here's an eBay listing of Bronze Bombers. You can just about make out some of the names but some are just too grainy. It's been on my watch list for ages but just haven't been able to justify the expense..
