Ya know, if I do a head swap with the RoC Destro body, that could make a good leader for my Red Shadows faction. But what head could I use for Wilder Vaughn?
Not sure if I want Wraith with Cobra, Coils, IGs/MARS or the Red Shadows. I'm leaning towards the Shadows since it was revealed in WW2 that Vaughn was the one that created the armor. |

That could work, just don't have an extra Clutch head around.
The blond/bearded head from the TRU Joe Trooper 5-pack (which I have an extra of, lol) could work pretty good too. The blond could pass for white until I get ballsy enough to try painting.

So I'm setting up alot of the background information for my Joeverse as if they were files that the Joes use.
An example: "Task Force Omega File 1046-0 – J.O.E. Clearance Level 3 - Eyes Only File Transcribed: Hotline 05/23/09 02:15 hrs File Created: Director XXXX Intelligence: Chuckles White Devil The Red Shadows The newest “Ultra-Terrorist” group, with ties to the Society of the Coiled Serpent (re: File 1034-0) to appear on the world stage. Not much has been seen, heard or discovered about this group beyond the first sighting (re: File 10928-0 – Operation: Red Shadow). They appear to be using modified Iron Grenadier (re: File 1024-0) armor, but with some significant modifications. J.O.E. operatives were unable to acquire a set of the armor for study but were able to take pictures (re: this file, attached photos 1046.1 to 1046.57). They are linked to the Society of the Coiled Serpent because of the man believed to be their leader, Wilder Vaughn (re: File 513-0), see attached pictures placing Vaughn at the scene (re: attached photos 1046.7, 1046.19, 1046.25 and 1046.56). Vaughn was known to have split ties with the Society approximately five years ago (re: File 513-2). Vaughn’s goals and motives are at this time unknown." So as you can see there are different types of files. Each file, when opened, starts with the basic information (that gets a 0 attachment), then it would expand from there with additional information, bases, etc.. and each new entry to the main file would get a the next number, 1046-1, 1046-2, etc.. Attached photos would be 1046.1 if in the first entry and 1046.2.1 for photos attached to the 2nd entry. The organization files are 1000 series. Enemy personal are 500 series. Operations are 10000 series.

Neat. Just a little suggestion, though. You might want to adjust your file naming system a bit to make it easier to sort through alphanumerically. For instance, with your current format of vwxy-x, you can only really go up to 9 alphanumerically sortable entries. Using your example of 1046-1, you can only really go in the proper order up to 1046-9 (using, say, Windows Explorer's "sort files by name" dropdown menu option), as 1046-10 will actually be placed ahead of 1046-1, 1046-11 will be inserted after 1046-1 and before 1046-2, and so on and so forth. My suggestion would be to use two digits for the entry identifier numerals. So instead of naming the file 1046-1, you instead name it 1046-01. This will allow you to go up to 99 individual entries per file (up to 1046-99) before you encounter a sorting issue. The same advice applies to the photograph naming system, of course.
Thanks Z.

Tyroc, I do attach a 3-man mortar squad to my Joe platoon to complement assaults and some direct action missions. My Joes also have an artillery section. The section includes the Thunderclap, which I utilize the same way the Army utilizes a towed 155mm howitzer. It's organization consists of the following:
Section Chief (E6) Ammo Chief (E5) Gunner (E5) Assistant Gunner (E4) Canonneer (E4) Canonneer (E3) Prime Mover Driver (E4) I'm still making small adjustments to the Joe artillery roster, but Long Range is the Section Chief. Last edited by Tanksmasher; 12-06-2009 at 12:00 PM.. |
