I would think that ninja would be very protective of their ways and not want outsiders to learn them without some vetting process. Especially if coming from a rival clan, and say that clans moral compass were to be opposite their own it would be an even greater reason to keep their ways a mystery.

Exactly, I see it as the Koga and Arashikage being rivals but friendly. I see the Koga clan taking exception to Firefly using his status to infiltrate and destroy the Arashikage. I would think that the killing of one of another clans master outside of being at war would be looked upon as disgraceful.

Yeah thats the way I see it. I can see Toynos' points as well, as some of the jobs ninja take are assasinations. I just don't see them being happy with what Firefly had done and then leaving for Cobra.

He went to basic at San Diego in 59 Company 010. Spent his 3 years on bases in the Pacific, he only spent a day at sea. Came back went to vo-tech, then taught school there. Then worked for Boeing, for about 30 years, During the 80's he was in what was called the Black Hole, military projects and stuff. He couldnt serve as a missionary because of his work. Tho, my sister has served on a short term as well as spending a year in the Czech Republic. When she was younger she played with my joes, she actually had Rock'n Roll in the early 80's. But now she just rolls her eyes. So I think its kinda ironic, since the Joe movie was filmed in Praugue Czech and Paris France. During this Thanksgiving holiday, we are planning to watch the live-action GI Joe movie. It kinda plays like a james bond movie as a team instead of a single man. This might make her home-sick.

In the cartoon, Serpentor was created from the DNA of Napoleon Bonaparte, Montezuma, Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan, Vlad Tepes, Ivan the Terrible, an unnamed Egyptian Pharaoh (maybe Amenhotep III?), and Sgt. Slaughter. Cobra tried to get a sample of Sun Tzu's DNA, but they were stopped by the Joes, and this was used to explain Serpentor's impetuousness (since he lacked Sun Tzu's wisdom and patience). Apparently Sun Tzu's DNA didn't make it in the batch because of that slickster Sgt Slaughter. Montezuma's Revenge would have been a great one. Serpentor would have been a great cunning leader though constantly plagued with the runs.
What other great warriors could we include? How about: Miyamoto Musashi the Samurai Sir William Wallace Sir William Marshal Richard the Lionheart Joan of Arc Leonidas of Sparta General Belisarius of Rome Frederick the Great Erwin Rommel General Robert E Lee Conan the Barbarian? I like the list. I'm surprised they didn't get an American. I like to put my Patton figure in the line-up sometimes. I figure if Cobra is going to do it then why not bring back a General to fight for the US. |
