Page 286... What happens when the new-comers reach to the end of this thread? Do we each recieve a Battalion of Joes?
So heres the start of my filecard for my medic Im creating. With Thunderblasts head, ROC Leatherneck's body and 2004 Gung-ho's cover. Codename: Chief Greenside Hospital Corpsman File name: Burke, Sean Thomas PMS: Fleet Marine Force Reconnaissance Independent Duty Corpsman (HM-8403) SMS: [unknown] Birthplace: Chicago, IL Rank: CPO Rating: HMC Chief Hospital Corpsman Chest Designator: Enlisted Fleet Marine Force Warfare Specialist Additional Corpsman Training: 1.NEC 8404 Fleet Marine School graduate 2.Basic Reconnaissance School MOS (0321) (9 weeks) 3.Marine Combatant Dive School (7 weeks) 4.Amphibious Reconnaissance Course (3 weeks) 5.US Army Special Operations Combatant Medic 18D short course (24 weeks) 6.US Army Basic Airborne School (3 weeks). Sailors possessing NEC 8404 will be awarded NEC 8427. 7.US Army Special Operations Combat Medic 18D ADSOCM (24 weeks). Sailors holding the NEC 8427 will be awarded NEC 8403. Motto: "The difficult Anytime, the 'Impossible' by appointment only!" ...End file for now Basically He is a Navy field medic, as I understand it there are technically no Marine medics. He's trained like a Marine, sleeps like a Marines, dresses like a Marine. And even photographed like a Marine, but still Navy... One was photographed raising the US Flag over Iwo Jima during WWII. Very interesting. I like it.

Nice idea, Takedown! Can't wait to see the finished product. Oliver, mea culpa on the kilometers to miles. I always get those mixed up.

It would have been nice if in G.I.Joe Rise of Cobra the scene with Hawk and Destro after the NATO meeting on the Nanomites had been added. During the convoy scene with Duke and Ripcord it looked like they went by one section that had been filmed in the Irom Man movie. I take it that driving 40 klicks is military for driving 40 miles. I am not sure how fast a convoy drives, but does it take half a day to drive 40 miles. It is either mid morning or mid day when Duke and company get the Nanomites and it is early evening when they reach the 41 mile mark and get ambushed.
RoC Paris is actually Prague (where ALOT of movies get filmed, must be pretty cheap to film there).

Just re-watched "Sink The Montana" from season 2 of the original Sunbow GI Joe series. The Navy admiral who goes rogue and joins Cobra in that episode is named George Lattimer. Has there been any canon attempt to create some sort of official familial relation between that guy and Paul Lattimer (a.k.a. Super Trooper) in the cartoon continuity? I know Super Trooper appeared a year or two after that episode aired, but I've never really bothered watching any of the cartoons that came after the Sunbow series ended in 1987.

But I still like my Wichitan WASP Flint-stone indian theory. I ate dinner with my bestfriend yesterday, who I soundboarded my idea for the navy medic (Chief Greenside). He felt his last name should be McCoy and his codename: CHIEF and is friends with Shipwreck. I just couldnt justify those ideas with how the character had developed himself overnight. But it's nice to have someone to talk with to develope characters. I really like how he is writing himself. Once I figure out how to post his Filecard I will put it up.

Yay, I figured out how to make attachments
So here is Chief GREENSIDE. Is putting the rank in the codename make you think rank or something else? I kept on wanting to put training and badge and weapon qualifications, but doesnt seem to be enough room on this one. Maybe on The Order of Battle Files.
