For me it was the year in which I officially either, A) lost interest, B) outgrew GI Joe, which would be around 1985. I know, a cardinal sin to be certain to admit in any fashion that at some point I actually outgrew GI Joe, but it did happen. Perhaps it was the pressure to grow up foisted upon me by the culture in which I live, or maybe I just didn't feel right getting more excited about new toys than going out on dates and going to dances. Regardless, I shall never again visit upon myself the sin of forgetting or outgrowing these treasured 3 3/4" plastic playthings!

I voted 85. For the same resons that everyone mentioned before. But the best years was from 84 to 89. Lots of good stuff came out in 88 and 89. Then the neon colors and repaints killed the line.

83-86 were good years for everything. Except being on the verge of nuclear obliteration.
But most of us were kids, so we didn't know. Ah, the bliss. |

'82-'89 where the best years for ARAH, with '85 being my peak year. I had really started getting into Joes then & it was a great season for the cartoon. Although the Mass Device series & the Movie where probably my faves back then.
But Dusty, BBQ, Airtight.. .yeah '85. |

I said 87... It's the figures I liked... It was hard though. I love 86 and 85 too.
