I pre-ordered a Zartan SS from HTS last week, and decided a few days later that I would like to add and EEL to that order. When I asked Hasbro to combine the order they refused. They claim that they would still have to charge me for full shipping on the EEL, even though I've already paid full shipping on Zartan. Since neither will ship until 11/24, this is just bad policy. I asked to speak to a supervisor, who said that he regretted that I was not happy with the policy, but said that he would have to "look into this" before he made a decision. He took my number and never called back. Like every other company nowadays, they just don't care about customer satisfaction at all, even when the customer is only asking them to exercise some common sense. It's frustrating when you say something like "In three weeks your going to put a figure in a box and ship it to me, why would you charge me full shipping again to put another figure in that same box?" and the response is "We can't add to an order". When I suggested "Why don't you cancel the order, and place a new one". That's when I got "We'll have to look into this" and no call back from both the customer service person, and the supervisor.

Just send an email cancelling the first order and when that gets confirmed, make a second order. I do it all the time.

Another thing I did was change my payment method from credit card to Paypal. Other people are having their figures shipped but mine are just sitting there. Not sure if they're going to send a Paypal payment request or just ignore the order completely. When you order using paypal you have to send the payment immediately before you can finish the order. But I'm not sure how they handle a preorder that started out as a credit card payment but changed to a Paypal payment. I got rid of my credit card so I can't use it anymore. Now I don't know what the hell is going to happen to that order. I really don't care anymore. I don't care if I ever get the figures either. Oh yeah, and another thing, I tried emailing HTS but it bounced back as undeliverable. I had to call them on the phone. Keep that in mind if you try emailing them but never get a response. Exactly. I did the same thing when wave 11 showed up. I couldn't find the Eel (Had actually forgot he was in this wave) and I ordered all the other figures. When I finally found him, I ordered him along with all the other figures and cancelled the first order. No problems at all. Although, I usually call them to cancel orders. I like hearing someone on the other end give me a confirmation that it's been cancelled

Uncle Joey: "Why don't you just add the EEL to the order?" HTS: "Error. Once an order is placed it cannot be altered." Uncle Joey: "Why don't you place a new order with combined shipping?" HTS: "Does not compute. An error report has been generated. Send? Don't Send?" It's the new method of American business. Zero concern for customer satisfaction. Inept management and middle management who do nothing but nothing all day. Hourly employees worked to death and treated like garbage. Employees and customers alike are no different from the product. They're maluable numbers who are dealt with only in terms of profit, with no attention to the long term affects of ethics and policy on profit or even the overall viability of the company. Most folks I know have a middle manager boss who got his job only because he knows the manger above him. This boss usually surfs the net all day while taking occasional breaks to harass the hourly employees for not keeping up with their work as well as his. They also make it hard to cancel an order. you can't do it online, you have to call them. I tried to cancel the first round of dvd packs when two weeks after i had placed my order, i found them at target, and, hasbro hadn't even shipped my order out yet. They said "instock" when i ordered them, yet it took hts two full weeks to ship them to me.
oh, and When i say two weeks i mean two weeks BEFORE they actually shipped them. i am not counting the transit time. |
