I was spanked as a kid, I dont see anything wrong with it.
One good slap in the mouth got me to stop talking back, stop cussing etc. Kids are primitive in their mental process.....just like some adults. Only pain motivates them. |

The other night these two kids, in about the 12 to 14 range were fighting with these foam swords we have in the .88 aisle, I told them to put them u and went back to what I was doing. And about 5 minutes later the mother came around the corner and just started staring at me. I ignored her staring and pulled out my walkie talkie and LOUDLY asked for a security scan of toys. And she turned around and quickly walked away. Or my other favorite time was when a mother gave her three year old a pair of Hulk Hands and he hauled of and slammed his fists into a display of Lego Bionicles, she half hearted scolded him andI went over and said" I'll take those." And I took them and went to put them up. I then heard her say "Well now I have been embarssed at Wal-Mart. The cow that was with her said "You already reprimanded him, there was no need for him to say anything." Of course the mother had made no move to take the gloves from him and hm being a 3 year old boy with hulk gloves he was just a few secinds from pounding on something else with them. And I know this because at one point I was a three year old boy and I would have done th same thing. What neither of them realized is the could have been thrown out of the store for, It probably wouldn't happen but it could as Wal-Mart and every other company reserves the right to do business with who they want, and the little boy was willfully attempting to destroy private property. Of course my favorite time was when I was talking to an Asst. Manager and a kid was running around a corner and slammed head first into the shelf I was holding. He hit the ground and started screaming, I was thinking oh great lawsuit. The mother came around the corner about a minute later and asked what happened. I told her and she jerked him upright and said, " I guess next time you'll stay with me when I tell you to." she then calmly went about the rest of her shopping. So it just depends on the parent. And how much they will be put up with being humilated in public by there kids.

I saw a kid pull a rant with his mom, trying to rationalize something (VERY poorly LOL) with her something along the lines of "we both don't like this" or whatever...with his younger brother nearby, then switched back to i think hulk hands? and still not getting those, then borderline start crying b/c he wasn't getting anything.
and then his mom did the cool, OBVIOUS, thing: she lectured him, calling him a spoiled brat (that won cool points form me that she would do that in public lol) among other things during the lecture, going on about how he doesn't need stuff, just thinks he wants it, etc. |

I like watching the morning toy hunters cry when they can't find anything. I even rub it in saying I already received everything from my online retailer. Retail really stinks lately.
