all hail AVAC! the great snake rules forever!
 thats a crazy and amazing sight to behold. how do you resist not opening at least some of those?! dont invite me over. it would be a tazmanian devil-esque tornado, and everything would be out of box, fully assembled with decals. *edit nevermind, looks like you are like me afterall, as those boxes DO appear to be empty. still cool as heck to see though! and in great shape!

most of them, sadly, are empty. however, i have all of the vehicles and more that came out of them. mint and beautiful. these are most of the one's that survived, some are still up in the attic. my mom tossed the others, but she did clip the file cards.

fairly predictable response i must say, spoiled, maybe. a brat, no. i took great care with my toys and they were not just handed to me with a pat on the head. my parents were freshly divorced and poor, but my devasted father took up collecting gijoe to distract from his pain. it's something we did together as a bonding thing, the carrier was his coffee table, besides, star wars was too expensive. my brother and i shared a room with my dad for 5 years, i don't think that constitutes being rich and spoiled. my mother helped to, but i worked a lot for that stuff, doing whatever i could to get the next toy. i don't think i would of taken such care of such things if it were just handed to me. things mean more when you earn them. by the way, what is a poo child, were you smelly when you were young. |

Yeah we could never afford the vehicles either. I think we had maybe 2 or 3 of the tiny ones. I remember one birthday all I got were 2 single carded JOEs. Which was actually pretty cool. But I never dreamed of owning the FLAGG! Man must of been a fun playing experience as a kid!

i had pretty much every figure, mostly from either collecting change to buy them, stealing them, or getting them here and there as a present for being good.
my parents couldn't afford the big vehicles either. i think in my whole life we owned the Sky Striker, Dragonfly, Rattler, Tomahawk, Hydrofoil, Hovercraft, Snow Cat and a few small crafts such as Night Landing, Ferret, 2 Bubbles and maybe one other. (now these were between me & my brother combined) Last edited by OUTBACK; 11-15-2007 at 12:14 PM.. |

by the way, what is a poo child... that being said, i was just giving you a hard time...i am jealous that your parents never threw your stuff away as mine did...i took such good care of my toys too...turns out they cleaned house at some point and all my old Joes, He-Man, StarWars toys were either given away or tossed...sad realization for me... poo child was my attempt at typing in ebonics... |
