1. Serpentor. Genetically created to blah blah blah... every incarnation of his was weak. He wasn't even that impressive, and I'm pretty sure Cobra Commander could take him in his own Battle Armor.
2. Storm Shadow. SS needs Snake Eyes, and he pales in comparison with coolness. Storm Shadow always felt like some sort of plot device rather than a person, and whenever they give him a story of his own, it feels cheap. Without Storm Shadow, Snake Eyes would just be a badass that could exist, and no need for ninja mysticism. 3. Falcon. I just hated that neckerchief. What a homo. |

Yeah, but it was one of those things that should have been downplayed. There was WAY too much ninja crap going on back in the day, and it got annoying.
Someone once debated on whether or not that GI Joe would be okay without Snake Eyes. Well, I like him a lot... and I think the team needs the "silent professional" character who is lethal in close quaters. In short, I think Snake Eyes is an important character, and Storm Shadow is not so much- if Storm Shadow had never existed, I won't say the series would have been better, but it would have been okay. |

That was probably me.
They have plenty of professional characters that are lethal in close quarters. I'm fine with SE in the Joes. I just don't think he is essential. Two different things. I don't think every incarnation of Joe media has to have the requiste SE/SS battle. Resolute would have been so much better if they had done without the 2-3 episodes of SE/SS and devoted that to making the Springfield battle longer and better, or expanding some other concepts. Same with RoC. The SE/SS flashbacks just seemed jarring and out of place because they contributed nothing to the overall story. Take out the flashbacks, even the SE/SS battle and it's the same movie. Not essential. Doesn't mean they aren't cool in small dosages. Both characters are cool. They just aren't essential to Joe.

Keep in mind, how else could you tell the SS/SE story in a movie w/o flashbacks (as lame as they were) |

Man... some hatin' on Lt.Falcon.
I choose to disassociate the character from the voiced actor in the movie. He's a bad@ss mo-fo in the comic & in my joe verse. He is a green beret. They don't hand that honor out for being top cracker jack. Dude had to do something right. And no gay bashing, that's just kinda wrong.
