Alright so the box got here yesterday from hts. I ordered on Oct. 3rd like a lot of others and got the stuff just yesterday. I did not sweat it though...it takes time to get to the boonies.
i was not able to open it until today and, it was within the last hour that Our Son and i cracked the box open. My order was not for wave 10 but, for some 25th card Joes that we needed to fill in the gaps in our collection. So it was a pretty basic, humble order of 6 MOC. Cobra Commander (BA)x2 Flash x2 Snow Job SE with Timber Okay pretty simple. Not that i did not want wave 10 but, saw these and decided to get them instead (since i knew within reason i could not get them all). The problem comes in here. What i ordered was described as 25th Anniversary edition and, also had the images of 25th card back Joes. When i opened it i was pretty bummed out. I saw Snow Job on top and, noted the white border on his card...then i thought awww! I was still optimistic thinking "alright that is only 1 out of 6...they must have been out of the 25th card one for him". I continue on towards the bottom of the box and, one after another they were all cartoon/comic card backs! Anyhow i may be one of the few who was expecting to get what the site stated and, even pictured with these...but i am pretty let down about it regardless. Hasbro i am sure did not do this to me purposely. Lol It was not my first order with them and, i actually have 2 orders on the way. This will probably not be my last either...but oh the utter frustration and heartache!

tough call. yes, they are described as 25th Edition figures, and Hasbro has the 25th packaging up, but it probably was far fetched to believe that Hasbro had produced or had extras all of a sudden of figures on the 25th packaging in the same assortment as they are now being released on the modern era white bordered cards. that would be a heck of a coincidence. I'm not absolving Hasbro for being misleading, since they obviously differentiate between 25th Edition figures and non-25th figures, omitting 25th Edition from the title for any figure not released on a 25th card, but at the same time you also had to ignore many factors to believe it. I think you fooled yourself on this one.
Hasbro obviously believes the figures are the product and doesn't consider packaging variations as different items when it comes to figures released on both style cards. every figure released during the 25th run seems to be considered a 25th Anniversary Edition figure regardless of the card back. |

Honest;
Tough call on that one. I have to say that Gunslinger summed it up nicely. Everyone should consider this when ordering on-line. |

I just felt like the title,description and image would surely match the actual product i would get from them. Seeing as they are a large,credible manufacturer.
Yes i may have been the gullible one thinking that they would have those readily available but, that is why i jumped at the chance to pick these up at the time.

The text below each figure on the BBTS site clearly states that they are getting the ones with newer revision packaging and that they do not guarantee one or the other when you order.
"PLEASE NOTE: Hasbro has released this figure with two different versions of the packaging - one with the silver/foil border and lettering & 25th Anniversary logo, and one with the white border & lettering and a TV or Comic logo in the upper right corner. Our warehouse may be shipping either version of the packaging – the differences are minor and the figures are exactly the same. We are now receiving primarily the newer white border versions, so most figures will be shipped with the new version of the packaging. We wanted to alert you about this situation so you realize either the newer or older version of the packaging may be shipped to you – depending on what we have in stock and what has recently been received." |

To the OP: I can understand your frustration if you havent been following along... you can always try returning them. I am still waiting to receive credit for my return to HTS though which was about 3-4 weeks ago. |
