Explain why you like who you like

ok, everybody has their favorites.
I see the same names of characters show up in the "who needs to be made" threads that pop up.
I see Recondo show up, people care about airborne, and i just don't get it, I don't care if Recondo ever gets made, and airborne just took up a spot of where a "good" figure could have been.
By the same token people won't get why want to see Zanzibar, or Raptor made.
So what drew you to your particular favorite?

For me I always thought Zartan was awesome. The costume, Swampskier, and i thought the color change was cool.
didn't help that i kid i went to school with gave me a brand new one after he got two for his birthday.
he brought it to school and I had to spend the whole day with that sealed box under my desk, and man, i couldn't wait to get home and open him.
So, yeah, either it was just that i thought he was cool, or that i seared the box image into my brain by staring at if for an afternoon...

So what's your story?

I can't remember having a favorite character before Firefly, even though I had a few Joes before him. I think I liked him because of his "walkie-talkie" and also because of his back pack with the removable panel and the tools inside. I also thought his gun was cool. I like the idea of a sabotuer also -- someone who could sneak in, get the job done and get back out. So when the 25ths came out, I just knew that they would have to make a Firefly and I knew that I would get one.

I liked flak viper back in the day cause he is bulky but not unrealistically bulky and he is the perfect combination of realistic and unrealistic. I also thought it was cool to imagine him single handedly bringing jets out of the sky.

Too many to name. I like a bunch of characters that other people hate. Stuff from the late 80's and early 90's never fails to bring a smile to my face. If Hasbro were to release Headman in a comic pack with a Headhunter I would be thrilled. Headhunters just flat out look cool, and Headman just always kinda clicked with me.

I started off with Flash as My fave and then once Falcon came out he was my fave. I just liked his character plus him being a green beret (when i was a kid i watched the green berets starring John wayne with my grandpa and i loved that movie) just made it more cool. Plus he just seemed like he was a smart mouthed do it his own way kinda guy and i clicked with that since thats how i was ( and still kinda am). Flash Was just cool.

Zartan and Flint have always been my two favorites. The main reason is because when I was a kid I loved the toons and they were awesome in the toons.

Duke and Lifeline were always my favorites. And I believe lifeline was my first carded joe.

Cobra Commander ( the character ) I love his raspy voice in the cartoon and he has an amusing personality. Sometimes he would say one-liners or "retreat - retreat!" or berate his underlings and it would make me laugh.

Toys - Cobra in general. I loved masked characters. They look so cool and mysterious.

My favorites and why

Well i'm sure i'm like many were i would go through phases and have a new favorite, but i would have to say that Zartan was always the tops for the most part. I would go for a new character when he came out but always back to zartan. Now i do remember beachead kicking everyones ass for quite awhile when i got him.He was just so cool with the ski mask and i just liked his outfit. The other joe that i had a huge liking towards was Dusty. He was the man for a long time. He was just awesome looking with the cool head wrap thinga and face paint. He won many a battles in his day that is for sure. I remember on the opposite end poor spirit was a punching bag for every new cobra that came along. Don't no why but he was. A few other punching bags were crazylegs, sneak peek, wild bill(sorry), and the fridge.
