my first two were short-fuze and flash.
but they blow, so my fave is Joe is Sneak Peek, cuz he's fast cannon fodder and as for cobra...Crystal Ball or Raptor, because they show how nasty the bottom of the barrel was that ol CC was scraping at the time. Bird guy and Hypno guy. yup.

Figures:
Alpine. I loved how well his axe fit in his hand. Heavy Metal. He was just a cool all around Joe. WORMS. Talk about one bad Cobra. Plus I loved his Maggot tank. Stalker. Now here's an interesting story. I took him to school once when I lived in Amarillo Texas. Another kid asked me why I had that figure. I told him I really liked him. He then said; "But he's black." ... ... That was the first time I ever experienced racism. I never ever thought less of my Joes based on their skin color... Alpine is my all time favorite Joe. Roadblock and Iceberg were also cool as hell. Just goes to show you how prevelent hate goes unfortunately.

Nothing says kick-ass like a US Army Ranger wearing the black beret. He took his shotgun, took charge, took names and took Lady J out to dinner in his red vintage Ferrari after the battles were over. I also really like Snake Eyes, Beach Head, Gung-Ho, Ripcord, Breaker, Recondo, Flash, Grand Slam, Steeler and Footloose. |

The figures I like because I had them as a kid and have many childhood memories from playing with them:
Shipwreck v1, Quick Kick v1, Jinx v1, Spearhead & Max v1, Blizzard (Tiger Force), Outback (Tiger Force), Maverick v1 (Battle Force 2000), Big Boa v1 (I had more but these were my favorites) I also liked most of the figures with Animals like: Snake Eyes v2, Mutt & Junkyard, Law & Order. Figures that looked cool to me: Hawk (the brown bomberjacket & camo pants with the helmet just looked very cool), Most green army dress Joes, Most Cobra armybuilders, Hooded Cobra Commander; the Incognito. I liked Ninja's, Storm Shadow was very cool because he was the only Ninja from the line. I didn't know Snake Eyes was a Ninja because in the cartoon he acted more like a commando... But I liked Snake Eyes because he had this cool black suit and a Wolf. From the Cartoon I liked: Flint, Lady Jaye Scarlett, Cover Girl, Stalker, Hawk, Beachhead, Bazooka, Snake Eyes, Shipwreck, Slipstream, Cobra Commander, Destro, Baroness. Nowadays, I still like most of them. I don't have an all time favorite. The most interesting character mostly due to the character development from DD, is Stalker. |

V2 Storm shadow.
I LOVED the fact that he used to be a Cobra-as far as I knew at that point, the idea of a bad guy turning good had never been done (apart from Vader at the end of ROTJ). Plus he had a sweet tattoo that really intrigued me as a kid!

Major Bludd
Why? Dude, he was basically a pirate! I got Bludd pretty early on and liked him best as a Toy and in the cartoon. The stiff right arm was slightly annoying on the toy, but also gave him a uniqueness. He was my first favorite character, and I've never really wavered, though there are others that I like a lot too. |

Destro:
- He was ruthless but still had a sense of honor. - He took care of his people (Giving the Grenadiers stock holdings in the company) - He paid his people livable wages. - He had the respect of most of the GI JOE team. Very hard to come by as they had 0 respect for the Commander. - His dialagoue was always good in the comics. - Was a capabale leader.
