Here's the deal, using my company discount, I will book you a "queen bed" or a "two double bed" room at the Doubletree 1-2 blocks SW of the Hilton Riverside for $119 for you June 28th through July 1 (or whatever dates you need). This will save you over $20 a night compared to the joecon rate with a little exercise to work off that New Orleans cuisine. All I want is a Renegades Storm Shadow. The $119 rate is before 17.60 in taxes so the final rate is $137.59 ($22.41 a night savings over the Hilton). There is a pay parking garage nearby but I recommend taking a shuttle to your hotel if you're coming by air. Don't forget the unlimited warm cookies when you get back to the Doubletree! As a bonus, I will mail you three comped breakfast certificates that I have left over from my last visit. Those are worth at least $10 a piece.
If you don't mind hoofing it for extra savings, I can get lower discounts down to $97+tax a night on hotels in the french quarter or $79+tax a night across from the convention center. Some of the other hotels include breakfast (Hampton Inn and Suites). I know NOLA well so feel free to ask questions on good restaurants and sites to see. If you're interested, shoot me a PM. I am only going to do this for two members so I can have a figure to open and a figure to keep sealed. You'll have to send me a picture of an in hand Renegades Storm Shadow with a piece of paper showing my username.

that's a damn good deal. too bad most collectors don't hoard extras for the purpose of selling them, they do so to feel good about having multiples of figures and you not having any.

You should clarify that the person still has to pay for the room themselves. They just get your discount.
Because if you don't clarify... Stupid is as stupid does.

I thought $139 (before tax and fees) was the joecon block rate?

You are right. When I originally thought this was a good idea, the $160 quoted rate on the main page here did not mention the including tax part. I'm sure my thread somehow prompted the edit as it should. The $139 rate is indeed the same so I'm going to edit my original post and title for the Doubletree only since it still offers a $20 per night savings over the Hilton and is within 2 blocks away. I'm sure cost conscious people out there would love to save $60 for an $8 figure, the savings are twice what people would get on eBay for the most part.

Definitely. I would probably jump on this if I was sure I was going, but it looks like I probably won't go. :(

Alright, edited the original post and changed the title accordingly. I also looked around and found hotels within a mile walking distance for significant savings down to $79! That's half the cost for a little exercise!

Not knocking your hustle in the least, but it's amazing the things people will do to acquire this figure.
I hope someone takes you up on your offer as, I must say, it's rather generous and unique. Good luck.
