So i just got my ebay seller fees a few days ago and it was really high compared to normal. i alweys sell around the same amount of figures every month so i couldnt understand why this month it was twice as high as normal. so i was looking at each figure i sold and notice that the fee ebay took for each figure was super high.
first off i dont ever remeber ebay taking a final seller fee after you sell your item. all i remeber was paying a insertion fee. am i not thinking clearly or am i right? so i was reading ebay's new seller fee policies and i guess not only are they cancelling buyers from using money orders but they are now going to take twice the amount of money from sellers in fees. its bulls#$t and i think im done with ebay as a seller. between ebay and paypal fees, i feel like im being robbed, and its not very cool. they are getting too greedy and its just rediculous. its almost not even worth selling anything on there anymore. just thaught i would share. |

There was always a final value fee taken by ebay based on the amount the item sold for. The rates have increased slightly on the back end but are lower up front costs.
For powersellers, it will end up being cheaper because of the percentage taken off the FVF will be around the same as the new increase. But to answer your first question, yes, ebay did always charge you a final seller fee at the conclusion of the auction.

They always had final value fees. That's where they make all the money. The insertion fees aren't too bad as long as you don't add a bunch of useless crap.
I won't sell on ebay anymore. I only buy. |

over time, eventually people (sellers) will wake up to this ebay raping and stop selling on there....in the long run, this will hurt ebay...my brother sells on ebay as a part time job, which he'll soon be quitting because he's not making money because of the fees

it isn't too bad unless you do ALOT
I sold a $275 figure and probably paid around $14 for fees of course there are paypal fees, but there also other ways around paypal. I only take paypal, because payment gets here quicker, there is some protection, and it is pretty convienent. there has always been fvf |
