Dude, 1600 posts means you've got respect here. You regularly and positively contribute to the conversations, help on the AZ sightings, buy for other tankers. Do whatever you want.

In your case, the Wave 1 Flint was around $4.88 at retail ... it sells for more than $30 now. If somebody used the more than double = scalper rule then everybody selling this item would be under this label. You or anybody else would be a fool not to sell the Flint for more than double since it will never be produced again on the 25th card.

That is another great point. If somebody's first post is selling something on here, I would have to wonder about them. But you have more than 1600 and have helped out many. I have almost 700 and have done the same thing (check out my feedback) so we shouldn't feel bad at all about it.

Of course, anyone who buys more than one of the latest figure is also a scalper (especially if they found it before the "collector" did) "Scalpers" are also anyone overweight, anyone who collects other lines, anyone who does regular toy hunting, anyone who happened to be in the toy aisle that day, as well as all employees of TRU, Walmart and Target. It's a free market, do your thing man. The sensible collectors around here will pay what you ask, make an offer, or pass. Don't worry about a "negative" label. If you have something people want, they'll still come to you for it, whether or not you're a "scalper", and people will still think you're cool cause you participate in other forums and whatnot. I've been called worse around here, and not too many people hate me

Selling your collection for whatever value is not scalping IMHO. If you can sell a figure for 2x, 5x, or heck, ANY amount over, I say more power to you! What I deem to be a scalper is someone who intentionally goes out to horde certain figures with the intention of turning around and selling them to the "suckers" willing to pay a crazy price. Usually a scalper isn't even a fan of the product they are scalping. They're just doing it because they can get one over on somebody.

I just think people call people scalper just to be mean somtimes.. I think people should just chill and if they dont like a price dont buy it.. Oh though I think some people like to start fights and when they dont get what they want they call names and I think thats sad cause most of us here dont want to deal with drama or name calling and it makes alot of people not to even want to post... Again I think its our right to sell for what prices we want and its our right to buy or not to buy at those prices..

In my opinion..scalper simply means a person who is holding an item hostage for outrageous prices without it including best offer. If you or someone was to set a price with "obo" next to the price, then ya aint a scalper. I have a lot of hard to get 25th figures momc and thought about selling them with a fear that I may be labeled as "scalper" but I have sold some 25th figures with best offer and feel that I'm not a scalper because I did not expect high prices and the buyer was very happy with what they brough at a high prices they offered. As long as the buyer are happy with it, then you should be too.

I don't care if people buy toys for the purpose of making money off of them. If the store is sold out because a fellow collector wanted 100 of everybody is that any better for me? At least with scalpers I still have a chance of getting the figures. So army build, scalp, strap them to firecrackers and watch them explode... It's all fine with me.
