I play Star Wars miniatures and it's a fun game and great for collectibility. Lots of iconic Star Wars characters on small scale making it easier to display versus it's 4 inch counterparts.
How would you guys feel about a similar game with Joes, vehicles, etc. If the rules and game play were similar to SWM, it would indeed be a great game. |

I used to play SWM but other interests took me away. The other thing is, do I want to pay $15 per booster for small figs or do I want to use that to buy three regular joes? Also, I don't need to waste time and more money hunting rares, uniques, and army troopers for the game. But, you know I will if they come out.

Sure we have lots of different types of Vipers (Alley, night, heat) but I doubt they will do BATS v2, v3, v4 etc. We already know they could pump out CC, SE and SS like Vader. It'll be a cool concept, I'm sure. PLUS, they could also make it compatible to some degree with SWM. They will be their own factions (JOE, Cobra, I.G., Dreadnok) and would give some games an interesting twist. the fact Hasbro owns WOTC and the licensing for both Joes and SW, it's a no brainer. It's also another way to kick down Wizkids and heroclix. |

I play the SW mini game and love it. I would totally play a Joe game, especially if done in the vein of SW minis.

I voted 'No', but not because I think it's stupid, but because I'm not into that sort of thing. Certainly, there's a market for it. If D&D can last this long then this will sell.

I think this is an intriguing idea...
Pros: RAH has far more "name" characters of real interest than even SW. Sure, there are folks who love random back characters in SW, but for the average fan there are really no more than 10 "heroes" to care about. With RAH, there are easily three times as many central characters to care about. Who needs Bats v3, v4, and v5 when you can keep cranking out major players? RAH has a lot of "factions" to keep things interesting. Set 1 could be Joe v. Cobra, but future sets could include Dreadnoks, Iron Grenadiers, etc. Even the dreaded Tiger Force, Python Patrol, etc. could be featured in future packs. The fun and play pattern of RAH revolves around skirmish type battles even more than SW does. It's a natural way to play with these guys. Cons: Would there be as many RAH fans as there are SW fans? To keep going, SW had to use the movies, the comics, the prequels, the cartoons.. would a Joe game work if it had to delve into VvV and Sigma 6 and all sorts of other versions? Is the Joe fan community split, so that RAH fans would only want RAH stuff, etc? Perhaps biggest of all -- RAH, even the 25th anniversary stuff, features a lot of vehicles. Some of them would be natural fits into a regular minis game, like the trouble bubble and the various bikes. But others, not so much. Even if a Joe game did a Huge expansion for things like the VAMP or the HISS, would we ever get things like Havoc, let alone Rolling Thunder? And what about air support? How could a Rattler, or Conquest, or Skystriker, or Night Raven get made? It just feels like the game would be missing much of what we love about RAH. (of course, the same could be said about a SW game that's missing X-Wing dogfights and the Falcon, but they probably aren't as central to SW as some of the RAH vehicles are to RAH) Those are my thoughts. Still, I'd love to see something like this. Law |

Yeah I posted something about this the other day. If done like the SW collectible miniature game, I think a GI Joe vs Cobra game would work out perfect for that type of thing. Unfortunately without a fanbase as large as SW, I don't think a GI Joe CMG would float, or even get out of the idea stage. Plus the SW and D&D prepainted minis are also used by gamers for their respective roleplaying games which GI Joe does not have.

I voted yes, because the little plastic pieces of crack would hook me harder than the Star Wars one did. I would also guess that this might catch the Axis and Allies guys.
