The Steel Brigade is instant win for me. So IF it ever gets stocked here, I'll definitely get it.

I had one back in the day but I've always sorta wondered -- is Steel Brigade like the GI Joe equivalent of Cobra's Crimson Guards?
That's how I had them in my Joeverse. I don't quite mean they wear masks that keep them anonymous, but I mean I had them as elite troops, a step up from green shirts before they get granted code names and the chance to customize their own weapons and gear. |

I saw that set and instantly recognized the accessories. I thought the Hulk would be cool, as he's relatively scale to Joes. The figures themselves look like they came from the VvV era, is this correct? Does anyone know if those helmets work well with the 25th era figures?
Thanks |

o.O are those the bastard children of Master Chief? The helmets....look so much like SPARTAN armor.
Anywhoo.....TRU exclusive. Mixing Joes and Hulk? I want to lean towards Epic PHAIL. Honestly the Hulk toys this time around have TERRIBLE head molds and better body molds then the Ang Lee crapola. TRU exclusives leave a bad taste in my mouth. The TRU FF battle pack is now on my MUST HAVE! list but I think I'll skip this....rather find them loose from someone minus the Hulk. |

Does anyone know if the helmets on these figures can be removed? If so, I may pick this up, I love the steel brigade figures from DTC. Some of the hulkbusters with helmets had them sculpted on, I hope that is not the case with the steel brigade repaints. |

The only reason they are mixed is because they are in the same scale, and to DTC joe figures were easily retooled into the movie characters.

I think they are reused VvV parts mostly, could be wrong though.

Just picked up this set. Found some bad news though. First off I saw this tape on the back, here's what's underneath:
I didn't try to remove it before I bought it in case I ripped it. Then I opened the box. The figures are VvV Shipwreck from the Piranha Attack Boat, the helmets come from the DTC Plague Troopers Vs Steel Brigade set. Unfortunately the helmets were glued on, and what was underneath was pure laziness: Black colored Shipwreck head! It'd be nice If they used a larger head so that they didn't have to glue the helmets on. They won't stay on at all without the glue. I liked them before I pulled the helmets off, I'll probably glue them back on As for fitting on 25th anniversary figures, they work on larger heads like Breaker, Bazooka, Spirit, Nemesis, Serpentor,etc... Oddly enough, Duke's head works great too. Last edited by Shogi; 03-29-2010 at 06:58 PM.. |

I think they look good for Firefly's minions or something.
