I'm wondering if it's worth it because I really want that fooloose fig...Since I'm in Canada, the price for me would be 64$...is it worth it or do they sell the individual figures also? Maybe it would be cheaper just to get the fig?

It really just depends. If ALL you want is Footloose, well...it's still hard to say, because he might end up going for more than $65 CDN on the secondary market.
The Club does put leftover membership figures on sale...but that's only if there ARE leftover membership figures (there weren't any last year for Dial-Tone from what I recall) and even then you'll end up paying "Trooper" level pricing, which may be more expensive (once you include shipping) than just buying a membership in the first place. Also, if you plan on buying other products from the Club, then the Officer Level membership is worth investing in. Basically, look at the difference between Trooper and Officer level prices on the items you might want, and if the savings you'd make add up to or exceed the cost of your membership, then it was probably a good deal for you to buy it. Ultimately though, it's just down to the individual. For some people it'd be worth it, and for others it's not. |

I would say no. You get very little out of it aside from a piss poor idea of a magazine and a hyped sense of savings on overpriced items.

They are kinda dick-ish that way. You will have to join to get the figure either way. So there's no cheaper way to go it alone. If you know someone in the Club you could have a chance at one without joining but there's no sure bet.

It's worth joining just for the invaluable newsletter the Club produces each month.

I would say yes. For one I love getting something GI Joe related in the mail every month. Its not a great magazine but it does give you (or atleast me) that feeling of getting something in the mail as a kid and opening it up to find something new and 'exclusive'. I have never used my subscription to buy anything from the club though as the 'deals' usually aren't that great.
All that aside, If you really want the Footloose figure I would say join. 1, its guaranteed you'll get one. 2, if you end up buying on ebay later I can't imagine you'd pay less than 50 bucks (speculation) and whats 14 dollars difference for a fig you really want? 3, IF (which may not happen) you take the risk you run the chance of shelling out serious dough for it. (loose dial tone's are going for 120 on ebay) I'd say do it. |

Try it for a year and see how it goes. At the very least you'll get the Footloose figure, which if you don't want it you can always sell for a premium.

At trooper level (free to join) you pay the memebership to join if you purchase something (1 item). If you want something else you can make it worth it, by joining the officer level.
