Well I don't know about you guys but the Targets around me have a real crap selection. I pop in at least once a week and it's the same sad sight; about 4 random single carded Joes and 3 picked over comic packs. It's lame but whats even worse is when you search "G.I. Joe" on their web-site you get nothing on the toys... just books and DVDs.
So I wrote them an e-mail and here it is. Let me know if it's right on the money or if I'm over reacting!? I'll post their reply when I get it.
As advised I added a petition to sign so if you want to be added post "add me to petition" and put your name and city/state where your from. Thanks guys!!
This letter is in regards to the lack of G.I. Joe merchandise found in your stores as well as on your on-line web site. To be more specific I’m talking about the new 25th anniversary line of action figures and vehicles. I know it may seem “silly” to you to be complaining about toys but I should point out that I find it “silly” that your stores can’t show a fair representation of something simple as a toy line. My issues are as stated:
1. The lack of merchandise and variety found on your store pegs and shelves.
2. Your stores raised their prices on your single carded G.I. Joes by a dollar yet fail to offer a decent supply of merchandise.
3. The total lack of interest from your store associates about this products unavailability.
4. Little to none cooperation from store associates about when this product will be re-stocked.
5. Your on-line store has zero G.I. Joe action figures and vehicles featured on your web-site. This is very disturbing due to the fact that your company has “Target Exclusives” from this line.
6. When searching your on-line store on 9/04/08 for “G.I. Joe” the only things found are books, DVDs and party supplies.
I know these are just a handful of complaints but they stack up when they all involve a single toy line. I hope this issue is resolved in the future and I thank you for your time in reading this message.
Enclosed is a petition of name from Target customers experiencing the same issues discussed in the letter above:

T. Renick...............Dallas, TX.
Robin Caldwell......Tukwila, WA.
P. Dillon...............Temple, TX.
B.Shoquist..............Hurst, TX.
Michael...............Southern CA.
Eric Bright.............Tucson, AZ.

The only reason i even bother with target is to find a ONE rattler. Other than the upcoming battle pack in novemeber Target can bite my shinny metal ass :> |

Sent the e-mail, no response. Called their corporate office, and was told "well sir, the customer is not always right."
So good luck with your letter... hope it yields better results. |

I bet they just wrote me off as another toy geek and threw my letter in the memory hole. |

What he received in reply was basically an automated response, with such memorable quotes as "Here at Target, we're excited about our selection!" and "We try to assure each and every customer is satisfied"
...yet they didn't take into account one WASN'T.
