Tru already has exclusives that just sit on the shelves, why would they want more? |

Joe" on their web-site you get nothing on the toys... just books and DVDs.
So I wrote them an e-mail and here it is. Let me know if it's right on the money or if I'm over reacting!? I'll post their reply when I get it.
"This is in concern to the lack of G.I. Joe merchandise found in your stores as well on your on-line web site. To be more specific I’m talking about the new 25th anniversary line of action figures and vehicles. I know it may seem “silly” to you to be complaining about toys but I should point out that I find it “silly” that your stores can’t show a fair representation of something simple as a toy line. Not to mention the total lack of interest from your store associates when enquiring about when this item might be in stock. I understand that there is the issue of supply and demand and that your store can’t simply order more but this doesn’t mean that you should try to address this issue. For crying out loud, when you search your on-line store there is not a mention of G.I. Joe toys or vehicles, just books and DVD’s. That’s a disturbing problem on its own. I hope this issue is resolved in the future and I thank you for your time in reading this message." |
I would add a petition page. I'm sure 4,000 plus members would agree with it. Just itemize the above in points of needed change in 1,2,3, or a,b,c, ect. They would listen then. I'll be first. Let me know.

Now to put some things into perspective, I did searches on a few store websites for "G.I. Joe" Here's the results: Wal-Mart: (20 Items)
Comic Packs up to wave 4
Vehicles
DVD sets
Sigma Six items
The Story of GI Joe DVD
All of which, apparently, aren't sold in stores K-Mart: (2 Items)
Wave 1 Comic packs (No Snake-Eyes!) Sears: (2 Items)
Wave 1 Scarlet/Hawk Comic Pack
G.I. Joe Ernie Pyle DVD Kay Bee: (9 Items)
Wave 2 & 3 Comic Packs
Viewtiful Joe for Game Cube, PS2 & DS Toys R Us: (31 Items)
Single Figures up to Wave 7
Vehicles
DVD sets
12" figures
Comics up to wave 3
1 Star Wars Comic Pack
Star Wars, Transformers, and G.I. Joe Comic Book Gift Set Target: (1 Target match, 56 Amazon.com matches)
Sigma 6 Party Supplies
OK, Sure Target.com sucks the worst, but other than TRU and Wally World, it looks like they all suck to me | That is some awesome investigative work... |

writing a letter to Target is a waste of time. writing a bad letter is even more so. no offense, but all your letter will do is get passed around the offices and laughed at. you can't expect them to take it seriously if you yourself are conceding in it your interests are silly.
you need to rewrite it, make it short and to the point. if you want them to take it seriously, make it serious. "I'm a regular shopper at so-and-so Target and I can never find what I am looking for."
