I'm sorry if this has been asked/posted before but I found nuthing in the search....
My question is, how can you remove the walmart/target/tru price tags without destroying the card? Thanks for any help.

A little bit of Goo-Gone on the end of a q-tip works. Just don't use too much, you don't want it to saturate/stain the card. Let the Goo-gone soak the price tag a little then it should just come right off (it's not instant, it takes a good 20 to 30 seconds to work). Dab off the residue and remaining goo-gone with a damp cloth, rag or q-tip. The citrus smell should go away with time.
I've also used a light treatment from a hair dryer to remove tags from things. The heat will "re-wet" the glue and it can peel right off. Be careful though, the heat WILL damage the card itself if you hold it too close, or for too long. This works best if the tag is on a plastic surface, not paper.

same thing like goo gone but I would put a lillte zippo lighter fluid on the tag let it sit for a few moments and you shoud be able to peel it right off.

You could use a heat gun. I use one at work for removing labels from boxes for shipping.

I usually thumb them off...but do you mean the old figures or the new figures? Because I've yet to come across any recent Joes that even have price stickers! Some of the earlier ones might remove easily if the glues dried, and if not well probably some of the suggestions mentioned above would work too.

Might I suggest this? Leave them.
Price tags are a great nostalgic addition to any MOC figure IMO. If I buy a MOC 80s or 90s figure and there's no price tag...chances are I'm stickin' to my little kid-type self and rippin' it right outta' there...however, if there's a price tag on it...it adds a little something. It dates the figure...it reflects the economy of our country at that time. Maybe I'm alone in this...but perhaps it's another alternative for you to consider. I really wish we had price tags on the new stuff. I miss price tags. Now it's all bar codes and peg price cards. Makes me kinda' sad really. |

The only place i ever see anymore that puts the price tags on is K Mart. None of the others use them. At least around here...

Sometimes I peel them off before I release the GI Joe/cobras from plastic prison, but price tags are usually on when packaging is tossed... The goo gone method sounds effective
