I'm sure many of you may remember a Dreamwave comic of Transformers and GIJoe set in an alternate World War II.
Where Cobra Commander killed Hitler and took over Europe with Cobra and killed almost everyone in Europe with the help of the Decepticons as his super weapons. He had the Matrix and used it to control them. The Transformers changed into WWII era vehicles. Grimlock was a Sherman Star Scream was a M-E 109 and so on. The art of the comic was beautiful. The look of the Joes and Cobras in WWII was really something. The Transformers were rusty and had wires hanging making them look all the more menacing. Destro built Brutacus and Shockwave was a costal gun. With the licensings being a question mark. Since Dream Wave is now defunct and that idea was owned by them. Of course Hasbro could own the rights to it now anyway. What would you think of a line of WWII era styled Joes and Cobras? From the comic the Cobra soliders resembled Wehrmacht soliders in blue and black colored unifroms with storm coats, masks and MP-40's. The Joes were a more styalized version of WWII era American,Canadian and British soliders. Would it be possible to custom them? Who would you pick for the line if they did it? What would they look like? Vehicles? Would you buy them if they were made? I remeber the books and they flew off my shelves at the shop. They are hard to find and still sought after. If you haven't read the series then you might be able to find it in trade paperback. It is definatly worth it. Phalsis, |

I loved that series. Would totally buy figures or vehicles if made. And I have a strict "no transformers" policy, but I'd break it for a transforming Sherman.

I've been looking to buy that for a while. I saw a bunch of design pictures from it, and they were awesome. I would love to see the Joes from this line made. I don't collect Transformers, and I can't afford to start collecting a new line, but I would want to pretty bad if this were made...

Do you mean the ones illustrated by Jae Lee? If so I agree that they are beautiful. I see quite a bit of the original art around for sale, as well. Great looking series.

Jae Lee could illustrate the back of a pack of Metamucil and it would be PURE GOLD!
Damn you all for making me want to go buy comics. |

I absolutely loved the art of Jae Lee and if this would be transported to cool figures and awesome packaging art, I would def. buy all of them!
the whole mini-series was great and a new and different approach to the GI Joe universe.
