How about Hasbro gives us some worthwhile product to support the raised costs?
If I am to believe that these costs are justified.. as stated in other threads, then in 2009 just as the line is 'ending' we should see nothing but new figures. Unless of course all these re-hashes and such were for the sole purpose of financing a large chunk of what is going to be the epic failure known at "RISE OF COBRA" |

i work in a grocery store and sadly as you know prices have rapidly been going up. But what some people may not have noticed is that not only are the prices going up, but what your buying is getting smaller. So I guess hasbro figures not only can they get away with charging us more but that they won't put in the same quality. Higher prices for worse quality.
They're right though, most people will stil buy, it's sad but true. |

What I don't understand is why the single figures keep going up while the comic packs/multi-packs/vehicle packs do not. If it is because of increased costs (such as fuel) then why the hell are only the single figures the only ones touched?
Think about it, the cost of the single started at $4.88/$5.99 depending on where you shopped. A five-pack was $24.99. Comic packs $9.88/$9.99. Single's are now $6.84/$7.99. A five-pack is still $24.99. Cp's are still $9.88/$9.99. Has there ever been an explanation from Hasbro on this? |

At TRU our suggested retail price is 5.99$ but our retail price is actually 6.99$ for singles. So if Hasbro raises their prices 1$ then so will TRU on everything. It kinda sux.

Has anyone thought that the increases at Target and such are like a pre-emptive strike to this Sept 1st increase? Ya know, get the customer ready for the increase by slowly raising it over a longer period of time.
Anyway, these are just toys and everythings going up in price, so it's not that big of a deal to me. There will be a breaking point and either we'll all start getting paid more, or stuff will be priced less. That's just how it goes. |

Exactly, and they might as well give us a true to 1986 25th version of Serpentor. I'd be willing to pay up to $15 for the figure if they did it right.

All I can say is that I become more and more selective in my fig and vehicle choices every time they raise the prices. I buy/will buy very few comic packs, no dvd packs, no 12" crap, no repaint vehicles/recycled figures and no wave 12...
I agree with many of the posts above. Hasbro, stop making Joe collectors pay for all those leftover deadbeat summer movie toys warming shelves all over the place! And stop giving us crap and overcharging for it! |
