For the record, Mr. Ellis will not be "ruining our beloved" G.I. Joe. Hasbro is not going to let him go crazy and Warren always treats the properties he works on with respect. He may not be a Pro-American writer (he is bloody English), but he knows how to do his JOB. In addition, it was already stated that it's going to be Heavy Duty across the board. The Movie, the new IDW comic and the Resolute cartoon. Hasbro has "supposedly" lost the license/copyright/trademark to the Roadblock name (I still don't understand how since we just got a Roadblock figure). |

Its all in attempt to get everyone on board with their new GI JOE and how they want it not how we want it. why in christ s name did they even bother to bring classic styles back if they have no intention of honoring it PROPERLY.

WTF? How does Hasbro keep losing all these freakin' trademarks to their properties?! Has the guy in the legal dept responsible for that been napping for the last twenty years?

I don't understand why you bother witht this current stuff at all. All I see you do is complain left and right about everything. I think Hasbro is doing a pretty good job of things lately. If you think the Resolute stuff is bad so far, you are nuts. Just because they are using one name over another doesn't mean they are trying to force their "view" on you.

"I’ve never seen a GI JOE cartoon in my life. The closest I got to a GI JOE comic was drinking with Larry Hama. I’ve never even seen a GI JOE. Couldn’t tell you what they look like if you paid me. I know nothing about GI JOE. It is meaningless in my world."
This quote combined with the fact that he is who he is has me extremely worried about Resolute. Well as worried as one could be about a series of ten five minute cartoons. |

I hear you. What the hell is this guy smoking? This thread makes very little sense.

I really don't like coming off as one of those fans who will never be happy. The problem is they keep doing things that make me unhappy! lol At this stage with a year to go before we see Resolute or the movie I can only form my opinions based on what I've seen or heard thus far. I'm sure some would rather those with concerns about future Joe projects reserve their comments until they come out, but you've gotta talk about something for the next several months. And it's not always going to be positive.
