This toyline with all the characters and their repaints and variations, vehicles and playsets left to do this one can stay on foot for at least another good 7 to 8 years maybe 10.

You have to keep in mind that we just got word of wave 12 being a repaint/retool wave like wave 8.
This wave includes: Dreadnok Ripper Storm Shadow with Ninja Gear Cobra Diver with Heavy Water Element Cobra Trooper (with red logo) Crimson Guard Python Patrol Tripwire (Desert) with Meteor Element I believe this will be the final wave for the year making for 8 total waves in 2008. We will probably get 2 more waves of modern singles/comics in 2009, then a wave or 2 of RESOLUTE singles ~Omega Force waves like Zap, Duke, & comic packs like CC/Scarlett, SE/Night Creeper ...then we will get the Movie stuff for the remainder of the year (as long as it's successful), with some 25th oldskool stuff thrown in the mix + exclusives for the current fandom. That is my best estimation from what we have been told by Hasbro on these boards. |

3 more waves in 09 before the movie wave hits I think. Hopefully Recondo, Cover Girl, Dial-Tone, Wetsuit and Lowlight or Footloose before the hiatus.

I can’t fathom why this line would end, I mean…Technically Joes didn’t disappear off the shelves very much at all since their original release all the way back in ’82. There was always SOMETHING Joe related on the shelves, always some way Hasbro was trying to keep GI Joe alive, whether it be through the original cast, or a bunch of cruddy spin-offs that tanked worse then the Hindenburg. But the point is there was always Joe’s…and what with the success of this particular incarnation, why in gods name would they end it? Even with the release of the movie related figures they’ll probably keep this up, they’ll just be intermixed like with they do with ‘Star Wars’. Packages all look relatively the same but technically they all have their own lines and sets they go too.
So…yea, I’m with the person who said it’d last nearly 10 years, they can keep it up that long…easily. I have no idea how many Joes that'd be...let's say...ah, a million! |

I think since 'Rip Cord' is in the movie, we prob wont see a 25th of him until after the movie debuts. Prob see one with Wayans' likeness first. I also hope they re-do Leatherneck in traditional jungle camo. Pretty please Hasbro with a cherry on top?? Sab |
