I never thought about that, but it's an excellent point. I have never bought any graded figures because, like you said, they are usualy way over-priced.

I'd much rather have a near perfect, loose Stormshadow for $75-$100 than one MOC graded AFA 80-90 for $1000-$6000

How do you feel about having the 25th anniversary AFA graded, especially seeing that there are no 0-rings to break given the new design? I agree with you about the Storm Shadow being way overpriced and tend to look for AFA graded figures myself anywhere up to around $200.00. These 25th anniversary are excellent to grade because of no 0-rings, what do you think?

For me, I'm not into the AFA grade thingy that some or most of you guys are into. Since I got back into joe's for the 25th line. I love looking at them and sometimes picking them up and looking at the details.
There is no way I'd put mine in the dirt like I used to when I was kid. I have most of my 25th line in my IKEA detolf case (glass pillar of plastic as my wife likes to say)! Well if you are into the AFA thingy thats cool, if not thats cool to0...to each his own I guess.

do you guys have a link? Those sound really cool and somthing I would probably use. I don't mind a select few AFA myself, only rare ones for me like the SDCC Destro Gold. But besides that I was looking to get some really nice cases, not just protech starcases or whatever they are, and these sound like them. They even come with lighting lol? Thanks in advance for any help.

NM just found them and they look pretty sweet especially for the price

IMO, you can't be the "authority" without competition.

I've said this elsewhere, but to re-cap:

A buddy of mine sent a figure in to AFA to be graded. Came back with a low grade.

He removed it from the case...sent it back in under someone elses name...and got a completely different grade. How? No idea.

I personally think AFA....well...I'm not going to defame a business that I have never personally dealt with. That being said..."a fool and his money..."

yep

i'll agree with you.....i'll settle for protech star cases personally. i was talking with a friend yesterday at a carnival and he let it out that he goes to gamblers anonymous and that he has a gambling addiction. and we started talking about how consumers in this era are becoming real compulsive in there shopping and how today everyone has a store right in the there living room due to the internet...alot of people in debt alot of compulsive buying cuz you can buy anything you want on the internet. right at your fingertips . that being said myelf i'm going to chill on buying shit off of ebay and start selling more.....by this being said i believe that the 6k storm shadow is targeted azt that market, someone who is a compulsive collector and shopper, i could afford it but that is just nuts man....there even coming out with that storm shadow card in wave 4 or is it 5. you know the wave with everyone from the boxsets accept snake eyes. i personally believe that the 25th ann figures are going to kill the value on those afa graded o.g. figures. why would i buy an afa graded storm shadow or snake eyes for 6 grand when i can buy the pretty foil cover 25th version for $4.88 at wlamart???? cuz i'm anal and compulsive and i must have the o.g.??? no way.
i'm going to use the same rule the most i will spend on a mint on card figure is $100....i might ass well i've spent way more than that on comics, and air jordans, might as take my og gi joes serious too. but not sick in the head paying 400-6,000k. that o - ring concept is very interesting point,....it shows the madness of the whole afa crap.

Another Interesting Point I Recently Got 14 Figures From My Childhood Online With All There Gear Accpet The File Cards. These Suckers The Type Of Plastic, The Way They Were Built Could Go Another 20 Years Outside The Packaging Without Wearing And Tearing, (accept The O Ring) Now The 25th Figs, Heads Pop Off Easy, Soft Rubber Limbs,....they Don't Compare In Craftsmanship!!! The 25th Are Prettier But The O G Joes Are Superior When It Comes To Durability!!!!

By The Way I Love Em, I Got The Complete Dreadknocks, Quick Kick , Storm ,snake Very Awesome!
