I think he means the comic pack.
Maybe if you pick it up, the comic it comes with may give you some more info. I don't have this pack yet, so I can't help much, other than tell you to read the comic that is packed in there. |

Well, if you're talking about the wave 4 comic, then it's because Firefly killed Storm Shadow's uncle and Stormy had a bone to pick with him. Firefly was expecting him and was on the defense. He also mined the aunt of Storm Shadow's house with explosives. But Storm Shadow had Tripwire and Tunnel Rat sniff them out and remove them, because he got a tip that Firefly was in the area.
But Storm Shadow was really there to tell him that he had found his sister in a slave camp and rescued her, then bought her a home in France? It's been a while since I read it and I may be a little off, but that's how I remember it. And they way I took it when it was over was that the hatchet was buried between the two and Firefly left the sabotage business for good to find his sister. A very good read I thought. Sab |

No problem. And some of that info may be a little off. But I'm sure someone will correct me if it is.
What I think is interesting about the whole thing is the mindframe of each individual. Firefly is bitter, paranoid, and still murdering. Then he bugs the house of stormy's aunt with explosives to use as blackmail should he run into stormy. His house is rigged with tripwires, boobytraps, sensors and a platoon of bats. Now take Storm Shadow. He is calm, cool and collect. He is not bitter, paranoid, nor holds a grudge. He stays one step ahead of Firefly by keeping tabs on him and having a few pals stop by his aunt's to disarm the bombs and explosives. He finds out that Firefly's sister is alive and enslaved in a slave camp. He risks his life to save her, the sister to the man who has caused him so much trouble and who has murdered his uncle and prepared to murder his aunt and the slightest provocation. He buys Firefly's sis a home, then, knowing that Firefly would not be waiting for him with a welcome comittee, goes straight into the lions den and risks his life, just to tell Firefly that his sister is alive and where she is. Then he offers a truce. Stormshadow has come a long way since he first appeared in the joeverse in my opinion. The things he did were of the caliber of Snake Eyes in the marvel run, when Stormy was bitter and careless and Snakes always prevailed with a cool head and a forgiving heart. Then, Firefly takes a step in that direction. He leaves it all behind, burying the hatchet, destroying his home and gear, to start over and live a life of peace. Pay it forward I guess. But some people took it as him blowing himself up, because he was too prideful to admit defeat and that he knew nothing else in life but death and revenge. So as the old saying goes, 'yous take your pick and yous gets your choice' Sab |

Also even though he's still wearing a Cobra hood the comic seems to take place after Storm Shadow got out of Cobra (you know... the second time he got out of Cobra).
Firefly's always been like Zartan or a few other cobras he's on his own side. (Slice and Dice seem to be hunting him, probably cause Firefly was working for Serpentor and the Coil in the Cobra Civil War pt 2). |

Sab Everything you said was correct, but damn does the story sound really stupid when you say it out loud like that.

Yeah, but did you guys notice that Slice and Dice knew where Firefly was living, yet they weren't exactly marching in through the front door. Those two quacks weren't completely stupid. They're opportunists too, because I remember Slice saying something to the effect that 'we'll let them fight it out and then move in.'
Holy crap! Did Slice and Dice blow up Firefly's house?? Sab |
