Ha! Phalsis has one of those at the shop. We've been wondering what series it was from.

Cobra Commander is indeed the McD's Valor Vs Venom Happy meal toy. I'm more interested in the second pic though. The green Desert Fox with Hit and Run in it. What's that from?

I got there about 2... they were open sometime in the morning... yeah I know there could have been scalpers (or just fans who really wanted to get there first), but this place is kind of out of the way and if you didn't see the sign you wouldn't know what was going on. And this would have mostly been vintage stuff not 25th... and it's weird that most of the Star Wars stuff would be untouched.

Weird........they couldn't have bothered with that big sign just for that junk. Must have been something earlier.
Related story: back when I was very young (about 8 years old...in 1980) I vividly remember going to a Goodwill with my mom (thrift store just like Salvation Army) and seeing an entire box of 12" Adventure Team G.I. Joe somebody donated. I started looking through them like a kid in a candy shop.......for reasons that are lost to time my mom wouldn't let me get any. It still haunts me to this day. Pre Ebay people would give away the best stuff. |

Okay so yesterday I see this sign...
And I'm thinking... wow Sally Ann must have a huge stock of GI Joe stuff they want to get rid of and Star Wars as well... better put up a posting on the sightings board and check it out tomorrow. So I go to bed, with visions of USS Flags, Defiants and 92 headquarters dancing in my head. I get there today... maybe I should have gone earlier, maybe there were scalpers... but I get there today in the afternoon and there are only 3 GI Joe items... and maybe a couple dozen beat up Star Wars toys... this is all I find for GI Joe. a lunchbox... kinda cool if you're into that thing except it's been scribbled all over. some molded vehicle with modled drivers which isn't in scale. and a Straight arm Cobra Commander... where did this guy come from? A happy meal? honestly, I've been having a very bad last couple of weeks... so I just felt annoyed that there was this big sign making me walk out of my way when it's 36 C today (that's 97 F to most of you). Seriously, a GI Joe event should have more then three crappy toys. Anyway just venting, don't mind me. |

except I didn't buy it... I just walked away in disgust. (I didn't have any spare cash anyway, I just wanted to see what was there and report it for everyone else).

Hey, my kids have that CC in their toy pile. We used to have some of the other happy meal GIJoe toys, but they didn't last.
