With all the excitement over the upcoming arctic and desert Cobra squads, I was wondering what Joe versions of these environmentally-themed packs would fellow tankers most like to see. I really liked the repaints of Vipers with winter and desert uniforms, and the Televiper with winter parka, so I imagined what kind of packs Hasbro might make with repaints of existing or yet-to-be-made Joes to complement them. Here's what I came up with so far.
Arctic Assault: Snow Job, Blizzard, Iceberg, Frostbite, Snake Eyes & Timber, Low-Light--all uniforms black/white camo--and Blowtorch (white uniform w/ black pads). Desert Assault: Dusty (as is), Flint, Repeater, Spearhead & Max (desert camo, not just tan), Mutt & Junkyard (desert camo & black vest/helmet, not the poor dog), Lifeline (desert camo w/ dark brown pockets/boots), Airtight (desert camo & black or dark brown pads), and Outback (desert camo pants & black T-shirt). *Okay, so I squeezed 8 figures into this pack! And lastly my favorites: Jungle Assault: Falcon, Leatherneck, Gung-Ho, Recondo, Footloose, Tunnelrat and Muskrat--all figures dark camo like original Falcon with black/green face paint. Night Landing Assault: Beach Head and Shockwave (dark camo uniforms w/ black ski masks & airborne web gear), Low-Light (dark black uniform & web gear), Hit & Run (original style w/ web gear), Airborne (dark camo similar to Hit & Run), Snake Eyes v3 (w/ web gear), Rip Cord (dark camo w/ paraviper rig). PS. Now if they only released a black Tomahawk with fast ropes and updated mini-guns on the side, that would be freaking awesome! |

We definitely need a Recondo. I don't care what pack he comes in. I always liked him. I have two vintage ones because the thumb broke off the first one I had.

I want them all. Maybe you should include an underwater assault team. It seemed like an inordinate amount of the cartoons took place in the snow or underwater.

COBRA Island Recon: SEAL Team—Torpedo and Wet-Suit in camouflage, web-gear, and lots of guns, Torpedo and Wet-Suit in scuba gear, Shipwreck and Cutter (to drop off the SEALs), and Deep Six out of dive suit.
COBRA Island Recon: Ground Forces—Devil’s Due Spirit, Falcon in dark camouflage, Tunnel Rat, Outback, Footloose, Recondo, and Low-Light (classic—just make them already!) GI Joe Honor Guard—Gung-Ho in Marine dress blues, Ace in Air Force uniform, Shipwreck (maybe with a pea coat on), Duke, Hawk, and Snake-Eyes (Mask he wore in Marvel comics) in Army Dress uniform, and General Flagg GI Support Unit—Dial-Tone, Lifeline, Law and Order, Barbecue w/o helmet, Tollbooth, Mainframe (or whatever his name is now), and Sparks Women of GI Joe and COBRA—Scarlett in fatigues, Lady Jaye in disguise (maybe an Arabic style using Indiana Jones Marion Ravenwood mold), Cover Girl and Jinx (classic) vs. Baroness in disguise (how about as US Army so her and Scarlett will share the same body mold), Zarana (classic) and Dr. Adele Burkhart who they can be trying to rescue/capture. GI Joe Prison Set part 1—Mutt and Junkyard and Law and Order (repaints of some sort), Shockwave, Chuckles (to collect intelligence), Psyche-Out (hate the look of the figure, but he makes sense here I guess), Duke (because Hasbro would want that), and an office in charge (what was the character’s name in Revenge of COBRA?) GI JOE Prison Set part 2—Zartan (no cowl or face paint), Tomax and Xamot, Baroness, Major Bludd, Dr. Mindbender all in prison orange jumpsuits, and COBRA Commander with jumpsuit, but still has on his helmet (Joe’s can’t get it off) COBRA Prison Set part One—Dr. Mindbender, Interrogator, Dr. Venom, Three COBRA guards (two regular CCOBRA troops and an officer, maybe black uniforms), and the Brainwave Scanner. COBRA Prison Set Part Two—Battle damaged Duke (we all want to see Duke get his butt-kicked), Slip-Stream (shot down), Mercer (his defection from COBRA didn’t go so well and he was caught, now the Joes need to trust him to get out), Snake-Eyes (already made so it’s cheap), Flint (why not) and two more COBRA Guards Oktober Guard—Colonel Brekhov, Daina, Horror Show, Shrage, Stormavik, Dragonsky, Sgt. Misha Zubenkov Unmasked!—Storm Shadow, Snake-Eyes, Jinx, Destro, Cobra Commander, Firefly, Wild Weasel no mask Comic Book Heroes and Villains— Kwinn, Billy, General "Iron-Butt" Austin, Wade Collins/Fred in civilian gear, Candy Apple, Professor Apple, Colonel Ratinkov (could do multiple sets) |

I posted this in another thread, but my ideal would be a revamped TRU Cobra Infantry Pack.
1 x Cobra Officer (Grey Viper Repaint) 2 x Cobra Trooper (Blue Viper Repaint) 2 x Cobra Viper (Regular single card release colors) All with fixed forearms. After that I'd take an Army Builder 5 pack of various Cobra troops. Example: 1x Televiper 1x Motor Viper 1x Alley Viper 1x Cobra Viper 1x Cobra In basic/normal colors. Could even make this pack a Hasbro online exclusive, freeing up the army builders for stores to sell to the kids as singles. Never was a big fan of odd-ball squad colors.
