I just got too excited everytime I saw a 25th Firefly-I had 5!! Needless to say, I stopped going to any store until the next few waves hit. Then I came across a wave 7 revision case...low and behold, another Firefly! I now have 6. He always was my favorite figure as a kid though!

I bought two Ninja-Kus thinking they were going to be hard to find. I wasn't going to sell them, but offer them to anyone locally that couldn't find him...
Turns out that entire wave peg-warms like you wouldn't believe, lol.

I bought too many of the Red Ninja/SE TRU pack but I took care of that and got store credit. You'd think I'd notice if I already had one of those.

At the risk of sounding too anal... I keep an Excel inventory spreadsheet (for insurance purpose too)... It has been in existence since 2003. It's ginormous. It tallies up what every variation and every package of every SW, GI Joe, McFarlane, IJ and Starting Lineup I have ever purchased is. It is WAY out of control. I log in everything I buy before I put them in proper storage and add them to the tons of stacks... Very maticulous.

The only problems I've had is remembering if I need 1 air trooper or 2 air troopers to complete my squad. Same thing for other cobra army builders.
However, I have had this experience buying books. At least 3 times I thought I found an awesome older hardcover book that I was looking for, only to get it home and discover that I found that same book a few months earlier on a different visit to the used book store. |
