It seems like everything can be graded now a days. Collecting sure has changed since i was a kid, i mean, whoever thought to start grading toys.............Man i am getting old...

Why would it matter? Unless you're going for value instead of enjoyment in the item itself. Thats what the hobby is about. At least, that's one opinion of what the hobby is about. Coins would be more difficult to tear up than a carded figure. So why does putting metal in a plastic case matter and putting a toy in a plastic case not matter? Difference of opinion.

It just destroys the beauty of collecting. The only reason it is done is for the value thats it.

Yeah, i don't think i will ever get any figure graded. I am collecting these, not to sell, but to enjoy and to give my son an opportunity to do something his dad did growing up. To all of you who are collecting to sell, grading is probably a great way to increase the value for years and years...

that collection NM/MT & carded, and sometimes even unpunched!!, cannot be cheap... nevermind the grading costs. is it safe to say you are rich!? (lol) |
