MyGF is moving in at the end of the month. So I'm starting to organize my apartment (about 900 sq ft) and clear stuff. The problem that I have is that I have to many toys, including almost all of the 25th stuff around MIB or MOC in case, 50+ GI Joe Vintage Pieces in AFA cases, Transformers MIB, including Unicron, Scorponok, Masterpieces, etc. and Star War figures (only 10 MOC pieces), and etc. Plus I have future waves and vehicles coming in in the next few months. I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to fit in all of that or if I should maybe sell some of my collections. I really like them all so I'm faced with this dilemma.

Climate-controlled self storage.
I have a similar storage problem, and my solution is this: I'm in property management, and I'm expanding the storage division of the family business. In the newest building I'm constructing, I'm going to claim a climate-controlled unit and cover the walls in pegboard so I can hang all my figures (Joe, ML, DCUC) where I can see them rather than have them all confined to boxes in a closet. |

We don't know, she might be mint. Let's just hope she's MOC, not "loose".

I have a lot of crap in storage right now. After being in the Army for 8 years, and living in several different states and countries, it just all ends up going in and being forgotten about. I was in there yesterday, beginning the sorting out process, and picking out stuff to sell at the swap meet. It's like a time capsule. There are so many boxes of toys, books, electronic equipment, etc. that I had forgotten about. But I understand, because all of my 25th stuff is slowly taking over my apartment. So I'm going to pull a lot of the stuff and have it ready to go into storage until my girlfriend and I find a larger place. But most likely I'll end up doing another overseas contract job or something that will end up with me adding to everything in there.
Selling some of the stuff you don't like as much or feel you need to have is a good way to supplement buying new stuff. I have a bunch of Star Wars crap that I'm just not into anymore, which I'll sell most of at some point in the future. |

The only problem that I see is that you decided to have a GF.
Further more, you welcomed her to live with you. Which will makes things even more of a dilemma. |

Now that I've hi-jacked this poor dude's thread and p*ssed off the few women we have here on the board , I guess I really ought to try and be helpful - A/C storage unit, or get some type of storage boxes that can best help you organize and consolidate your stuff. I know you said you had a lot of AFA stuff, so that is going to make it a pain. I had a bunch of MOC SW figures when I moved out of my townhouse and into an apartment years ago, I wound up buying several comic "long boxes" and stood the figures on their cards up in them facing each other and then back to back, repating this as much as I could in one box to get the most amount of figures I could into one long box. Worked pretty well, I still have a lot of them in them, and it protects them well and makes them easy to stack. One thing I would do going this route that I did not do at first and had to go back and do, take and inventory of what is in which box and then mark the boxes! My current wife actually help me take pictures of everything and store it with all it's data (year, series, model, etc.) on my PC when we went back through everything and reorganized it after we got our house. I now know EXACTLY what I have and where everything is just by accessing the file on the pc, and can upload the picture to either a post, email or ebay if needed. Once I make a deal I dig it out, and poof! I'm in business! HTH
