Did anyone else use the old "junkyard style" Tonka trucks back in the 80's with the dreadnoks? Those were kickass trucks.
They had guns, graffiti, armor etc all over them. Here's 2 on ebay: TONKA GRADER ( THE MASHER) NO RESERVE - eBay (item 180272399813 end time Aug-08-08 11:49:56 PDT) http://cgi.ebay.com/TONKA-STEEL-MONS...QQcmdZViewItem I used to have these and use them as they were perfect. Need to find the others. Last edited by Ewokhunter92; 08-07-2008 at 09:52 PM.. |

I remember wanting that grader. And looking at them now, I still want it! I wouldn't mind the jacked up jeep and the mini-hummer looking thing too. Those would sooo friggin' sweet next to my Thunder Machine.

Box Side
At first glance the sides are exactly the same, but then I noticed the words in the corner were different Wheel Boss Figure (Once Enforcer was removed) |

Now to the actual opening.....
Yep, those 4 cardboard tabs are all that hold this monster of a toy in it's package! In the bottom of the box (Surronded by dead bugs and other unmentionables) is the comic Comic Front Comic Back |

Unfortunately, I think there was some water damage to the bottom of the box at some point because when I pulled out the comic, it felt like a stiff cardboard placard. Steel Monsters may very well be the only survivors, because the comic sure wasn't...
