Tired of all of the repaints, but never liked the Commander.
And I still like to collect by the way...just stop with the repaints.

If Hasbro feels the need to bombard us with repaints, why not give us different repaints?
Tiger force Roadblock, Tripwire and Bazooka.
They can't make a Slaughter, but if they could get the right to the name 'Slaughter's Marauders' at least, they could give us a Mutt, Spirit and BBQ.
Repaints for Hasbro and something new for us.

Posts: 599 | If you're referring to single card versions, I chose COBRA Commander because the Wave 1 and Wave 4 COBRA Commanders are big time pegwarmers. None of those other characters have had a single card pegwarmer except perhaps for 25th Wave 4 Scarlett and Duke, but even most of those have sold by now, at least around here. |

I don't mind the CC that came with Tripwire, but I'm drawing the line there. As it is, I have 4 CCs (Face plate, Hooded, Battle Armor, Hooded comic ack). I've always found any variations on Duke to be boring so the original is enough for me. This repaint/variant jazz reminds me of how the remade He-Man series was totally screwed up (variants of He-Man and Skeletor instead of new characters). I can think of so many figures that would've been more exciting than say Tiger Force Flint, cartoon Roadblock or Duke, Ninja KU SS, etc. I was there in '82/'83 and my first figs were Breaker and Short Fuze, so I would've been delighted with a release of those and the original series (Where's Zap?). The comic packs are a good price value but in the cases where you'd be getting yet another Cobra Commander, Duke, Destro or Storm Shadow it doesn't seem so. I actually waited for the RAM set to get Breaker because I thought it was pointless to have another Destro. G.I. Joe was so exciting in the 80s for one because there was nothing like it and also because it was just new characters all the time. I definitely don't feel obligated to buy any of these new releases twice, but it can be tempting when paired with a fig you really want. If I had my way I would've preferred all single card releases and no comic packs unless both figs were unique. Torch and Ripper stands as one of the best two packs because of this. I knew Cobra Commander and Duke would top the list on this poll. I just know that comic pack is going to end up in the clearance aisle. |

We only got one other version of him (comic 2-pack) but even then I just changed his body with Grunt's. Duke is a great sculpt BUT he has the arm thing....
I know we will see 20+ more versions so I am not holding my breath.

I voted for Snake Eyes - love 'em, but not several times over. |
