In the cartoon, did the Joes know that the two freaky twins in blue suits that ran Extensive Enterprises were the same two freaky twins who would shoot lasers and karate chop them on the battlefield? If they did, why didn't they bust into their offices with an arrest warrant or something legal like that? Look, in the Pyramid of Darkness, one twin is captured and the other rescues him. Joes are attacked and injured. There are witnesses! The Joes later encounter the twins in their suits in Money to Burn. They suspect that they are connected to Cobra but don't know how. Later in Money to Burn, the same Joes who visited the office (Flint and Lady Jaye) fight with the twins at the Cobra base. The twins got away. I guess it never occurred to the Joes that these are the same twins because if they did, they would just nab them at EE the next day. Also, Lady Jaye makes the observation that if you hurt one twin, the other one feels it. Apparently she has a really bad memory since she made the EXACT same observation in the Pyramid of Darkness. So are the Crimson Twins like Bruce Wayne and Batman and Clark Kent and Superman?

yeah they knew. They knew that any time Extensive Enterprises was involved they should investigate. and they did. but the company itself ran legitimate fronts as well.

Yeah, but once the twins karate chopped and shot at them, they should have shut down EE.

Because corporate and political espionage don't translate over to kid's entertainment at all. Just look at the sleep inducing Senate scenes in Star Wars: Episode 1.

I'd imagine that they tried at one point and failed, possibly something about circumstantial evidence and armies of lawyers (Probably also CGs).
Also EE is probably airtight from the outside so it'd be easier to just catch the twins while they're actually doing something wrong rather than marching into their office and creating legal furor that could possibly go nowhere. And you'd have to be a dingus of dinosaur proportions to not realize that Tomax and Xamot aren't also the business twins of EE. I mean how many people in the world are named Tomax and Xamot?

* My personal fave *
Clearly the cartoon showcased that when one of the twins got hurt the other felt it, due to some shared bond. But even as a kid, I always laughed at how this fact seemed to escape the Joes and how they were always surprised when it happened. Lady Jaye: "What?!?...wait a minute...when one gets hurt the other feels it too!" Two episodes later, Roadblock: "What?!?...wait a minute...when one gets hurt the other feels it too!" Next episode, Flint: "When one gets hurt the other feels it too? What?!?" Doesn't Hawk debrief you guys? Last edited by Outbackk; 07-22-2008 at 10:00 AM.. |
